Not enough kinky sexual tension with Kurt Russell.

I really think you've been watching Stargate wrong.

It's there. You just have to open your eyes.

Blade Runner nearly single-handedly created the cyberpunk genre as we know it today and its influence is seen, and seen often in manga, anime, and games, in addition to other films.

As phenomenal as Se7en is, the same simply can't be said for it.

You know what. Spader & Russell entering a giant opening together. I think it’s time for a rewatch.

Yeah, I'm fine.

I do post less because of studies and because of the subjects being the same on this board.

You probably misrepresented my point. I can have a good discussion, but i have no interest to exchange thoughts with the usual suspects. It's pointless, boring and at the end everyone will remain in his position.

That doesn't mean anything. Blade Runner does not have "deep or complex characters" except maybe for Roy Betty, it's not as directed as well as Se7en and it has a far worse third act.

Se7en is the best thriller ever made, and obliterates anything in Ridley's filmography. The only film that is around the same level is Alien.

Also, I don't know why i am replying to you but whatever.

I mean, the usual suspects are the one who believe their subjective opinion (with no title; like you're not a critic so whatever you say remains an opinion) or some hate comments in an online board will somewhat change some objective facts.

I don't like the MCU but i give credit to them, even in the worst way to archiving success and that people like it. But somehow, somehow the haters under no circumstances will ever ignore their personal bias and do it.

I don't know why you are either if your idea of an appropriate response to a well written post contains such drivel as "That doesn't mean anything" and "whatever."

All you want is validation to like what you want. And man, you don’t need it.

Se7en for me, is a much better film.

I don't know what do i need to explain to you? It has more depth, given the theme of greed and it has two character arcs. Blade Runner falls flat since it has absolutely zero character development.

It has a better villain. Spacey nailed the role.

It has a way better third act, with the iconic box moment.

It's directed well, like the scene where David kills Doe, look how Fincher uses the flashback or how the camera moves shakey. Or the sloth scene, how it is revealed? That's above what Ridley can do.

And it's also shorter and has better acting.

While BR is a great film, there's no way in hell it's better than Zodiac, Se7en or Fight Club,

I would just appreciate if some people would just chill and say they don't like something, or not a fan instead of hating or not accepting a slight criticism.

I have no interest to start any "versus" debate because at the end of the day, it's just an hobby (watching films or reviewing) and a personal preference.

We can certainly disagree on which film we prefer (again Se7en is phenomenal to be sure) but there is no comparison as to which was more influential. That was the main point of my earlier post.

Influential does not make it better.

Blade Runner doesn't have any "deep or complex characters". Deckard? Yeah, just a robot. ? The girl? Ooh yikes. Roy Batty? Yeah, the only great character in the film.

Not surprising you would think 1 film trumphs another director resume over 11 listed film credits.

Blade Runner has zero character development, Se7en has two character arcs.

Sure it has themes, but so does every film wether intentional or not. What matters is execution and Fincher particularly the 3 films I mentioned execute their themes better.
