Burton did never read comics.

For me, the TDK trilogy is perfect. Seen it dozens of times. If you’re born in the older generation it makes sense to prefer what you grew with.

Returns is garbage, the most overrated comic book film of all-time alongside Endgame, atleast for me.

Heath Ledger's, the Oscar winning one? Sure.

It won't. It has already been established as one of the greatest comic book films and (films in general) of all-time, or one of the best of this decade at worst.

Wouldn't it be better to just argue for your point of view instead of bashing over, and over with subjective takes that are not elaborated at the same time?

Haven't seen Green Card nor Way Back. I should check the latter but can't do the former. I dislike Depardieu.
I bought Picnic at Hanging Rock recently, but I still haven't watched it. I saw it once in my earliest days with Netflix DVD, but I have little memory of it.

Finishing up my Lynch run through tonight with Inland Empire, I need to catch up on my purchases.

Not trolling. My opinion is just my point of view, but elaborated so why you are right that it’s subjective, saying that Burton is completely spent as a filmmaker and fallen off sounds about right, given the stats.
And Nolan makes car commercials that the choregraphed fights are lazy, the editing can be shoddy and the storytelling is (sadly) predictable.
Plus I don't think Nolan even knows what he's trying to say half the time. Tenet was a nightmare. Total fever dream of comprehension. It's borderline on the same level as Birdemic and The Room, where the director goes ego maniac, thinking the audience will understand them.
I will sidetrack and state I do enjoy Dunkirk (and most of his work and himself). But sadly, even his war film has it's issues. Something like 1917 comes along and becomes the best recent war film.

So again, money only matters when YOU say it does? Okay. Alice in Wonderland made a billion first.
And Burton is still making movies. We'll have to see where Nolan ends up since he had a hissy fit with WB (and is acting like an ego dbag with theatres and this pandemic).

Huh? This syntax is wrong. Hard to understand what you mean. Subjectivity is opinion. Providing Rotten Tomatoes numbers and Box Office numbers doesn't mean diddly when talking about subjective. Nor does lists from random sites whether it's AFI or Lights Camera Jackson.

He was simply that good. Just because you can't give credit to anything Nolan related, it does not mean that you have to be insensible against someone else unfortunate passing. It's really not professional or fair, at all.

I watched the first 30 minutes of Mank, was completely loving it, and had to turn it off to deal with real world stuff.

I never turned it back on.

I have no idea what that says.

Yet, I will not even bother replying everything you've said (opinion based) what matters is that Nolan is far more acclaimed, has better films, has outgrossed him and no comment in a board will ever change that.

TDK made a billion before that and Dunkirk was superior to 1917, which is a great film, no doubt.

Nolan's changes in aspect ratios is jarring. And his thought process on Bane and ADR is laughable. It didn't work to record it on set, so they had to dub in a new voice. That then became truly cringe inducing cause it was so noticeable. That's why people made fun of it.
Talk about shoddy filmmaking.

Also why do you think the dialogue, something Nolan had his own hands in, became a meme? It just didn't work in most places. That airplane scene will stand the test of time as just misplaced dialogue.

I seem to remember to remember on one of the extra on one of the DVD's that he did read Alan Moore's The Killing Joke. I have grown up on Burton take on Batman. Born in 1981.

Still more acclaimed and liked than Burton's garbage films in the 21st century. Still a far better quality piece of filmmaking than anything the gothic hack has ever put out in that career.

Fair, It makes sense that you have seen them first to them, so no problem. I respect that

Still that does not make his films accurate or good in the first place.

I'm not showing my 7 year old the prequels until much later in life.

He will know the original trilogy only for a while.

Got him to watch Back to the Future because we put up a poster in our media room, and I've never seen him more engaged with any movie ever.
