They say T-Rex was more like a giant chicken, but it's skin was more like a turtle instead of being scaly.

In The Lost World novel, they made a point to stress that of course the T-Rex could see, correcting what Grant thought in the original book. But then Michael pulled the lizard chameleon card so certain predators could blend in against chain link fences....which is great as an action set piece, but not so great as accurate science. But screw it, it's essentially fun dinosaur chompy chomp material, which is why I just roll with the movies and consider them harmless fun. Vampires, werewolves, and ghosts don't exist, doesn't mean they aren't fun monsters or the movies "lied" to you.

Yeah but difference is, dinosaurs were or are (it's debatable because birds and lizards are related to dinosaurs) real, but yeah I agree. At the end of the day, these are Frankenstein-ish movies.

This is not exactly what the OP meant, but I first watched JP when I was like 6 or 7 with a friend and he told me that after Timmy gets electrocuted, he sometimes says "three" and sometimes doesn't And I believed him

If you look at the prehistoric "chicken" from Mysterious Island it doesn't make it less terrifying. Whatever your interpretation of dinosaurs is don't let it take away from your enjoyment of watching these awesome depictions on the screen.

Bruh. Do you not know that T-Rex were covered in feathers? Of course it was a giant chicken. And they chirped likes birds rather than roaring.
