Kino is killing it. I’m grateful they’re doing well enough with these 4K releases that it’s giving them confidence to do more. There’s prime real estate left open still, especially with Criterion continuing to sit out of this format. Lot of area for labels like Kino to capitalize and release some prime titles.
Oh, and day ****ing one for Eastern Promises on 4K. |

I'm going to hold onto my HD DVDs as they're a video oddity for me not unlike Beta or CED at this point. I also like to think of them as the final refinement of the standard DVD. Just like Ultra HD Blu-ray is the current and possibly final refinement of the BD. That said, I will get rid of the BDs in favor of the UHDs.
