So I got my copy from Amazon and it was missing the digital code. I sent WB a friendly email with the receipt and they wanted photo evidence as well so I sent them a few photos. This has been going on for 2 weeks now.

Today I received this from them.....

"We understand your copy of It (2017) did not include a digital redemption code. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Unfortunately, the title you are inquiring about does not include a digital copy offer. The Digital Copy offer is intended to be available only for a limited time following the initial release of the DVD and/or Blu-ray disc. Please refer to the Blu-Ray/DVD product packaging for complete details of your purchase.

Once again we would like to sincerely apologize for any inconveniences you may have faced regarding this issue."

So is this a new thing or did WB re-issue IT 4k? This is the first 4k title I have come across (from a major studio) that did not have the digital copy code. And if they told me that it didn't come with the code 2 weeks ago then I would have saved myself some time.

This has quietly become a thing with Warner. That's also why the slipcover often says "digital copy" and the case insert does not. They can remover the slipcover (and digital code slip) or stop issuing with a slipcover. Then send you the response you got.

I can be unpredictable because one copy might have a code slip (older stock still on the shelf), another will not.

I was not aware of this....what a bummer and quite shady on their part. I only see one version of It 4k listed on Amazon. It's really a crapshoot.

Watched this again before screening Chapter Two and I stand by every word: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...9#post14617839, 'tis a rather lovely looking UHD. I dig the anamorphic photography too, it's got a such a distinctive visual flavour and although that plus the 2K finish means that it can look downright soft at times, I'll take 'soft but full of character' over 'sharp as **** but bland as hell' which is exactly how I'd summise the UHD of Chapter Two (which I'll post in the relevant thread).

On second viewing the HDR strikes me as being a bit overdone in Chapter One though. Not that the overall improvements to colour tone and range aren't (still) very welcome but there are one too many times when a character is by a window and the fenestre is practically blazing with brightness, it's rather distracting when you're supposed to be looking at the characters. Even messes with continuity a bit too, like the very opening scene with Bill and Georgie in the bedroom. It's supposed to be all dim and grey and overcast, right, what with all the rain pissing down, but the windows still look far too bright and punchy for brightness in the interior shots and yet when Georgie steps outside it's gloomy AF. Hmmm.

Never read the book, never saw the tv show. I thought the movie and the 4K were great. Nice Atmos track. I don’t like clowns or dolls...

First movie is the best imo. Second was a letdown. I may just get the first movie and leave it at that.

I really enjoy both. The first is a classic though, and helps when the group are kids so their fears are a little more validated.

The two biggest things that hurt the second film, IMO, are the Bowers storyline and the poor CGI. I don't mind the length at all (though the pacing is off), and I have even actually watched both films back-to-back about four times so far.

Just rewatching this. There are at least 3 very wonky green screen shots during the rock throwing scene. It seems curious, I guess they were pick ups maybe.

There were some strange tonal shifts to comedy-horror that kinda soured it for me. Also noticed that kid playing Street Fighter II at the arcade when it was supposed to be the late 80's or very early 90's.

By the way, the Super Cut is still a go. Barbara Muschietti said so in an IG comment a few weeks ago.

Richie's playing the original Street Fighter, which came out in 1987.

Pretty much. I have my issues with the film, of course, but by and large, I was totally on the same wavelength of Chapter Two.

My biggest issue with IT : C2 was that you can tell they left out the most interesting stuff at parts, then filled it with the worst stuff. I did and still do quite like the film though. It (heh) was a solid follow up with some missteps. The score was fantastic as well.
