Can’t decide whether to pull the trigger or not.

I’m pretty confident that’s as low as these can be got, now and forever, but it’s still $60 over retail.

I really dig these shoes, but I could also save the money and use it to buy something other than J1s down the road.

Probably the "hunt", and no... never paid over retail for anything. Clothes, shoes, movies, games, electronics. I actually only buy stuff on sale with a few exceptions like new release games, movies, and Jordans.

I remember the good ol days having connections getting 30% off pretty much everything except for 11s and 1s, and finding retros on sale before everything was an instant sell out. Those were the days, hard to imagine that was just 3-4 years ago.

You might feel differently about resell if you’d taken as many Ls as I have. You seem to get a lot of Ws with the Jordan retros.

Today Vanessa Bryant posted her displeasure that Mambacita's ended up in the hands of resellers when she never approved of their release, especially considering that the partnership with Nike is over. I read online that these were accidentally shipped to a retailer in London, they should've gotten the Del Sol's, something about the SKU on the box being mixed up or similar

Meaning that I'm tired of having to go through hoops for damn sneakers. I have a feeling that this will be my last year of doing that sneaker crap. Just stick to the basic Nike footwear (AF1, Flight retroes, etc) and no exclusive nonsense.

I just know how to #putinwork... it's about all you can do if you don't have a "plug" or want to get a part time job making crap wages at a shoe store.

No, even my favorites shoes I would never pay resell prices for, because I know there will always be something else I want on the horizon and can't have them all. Shit, I have too many as it is, so when I do strike out I just look at it as money saved and move on to the next one. I am kinda upset that I forgot to enter the raffle for the Purple 1s that dropped today. Forgot they were dropping today and got out the shower at 9:10 just as the draw ended, I'm sure it would have been an L anyway as I needed a 12W and the bigger sizes are always the hardest tog et on WMNS exclusives as they don't produce as many in those sizes I think.

On the other hand I can understand how some people pay resell prices... I just happened to start collecting again at a really good time when Jordans were sitting because everyone was worried about trying to get every pair of Yeezys that dropped. Luckily I don't give a damn about those anymore, but outside of 350s, many Yeezys have actually been sitting now, so it all goes in cycles.

Luckily I have plenty of other expensive hobbies... and two of my subwoofers just died on me, and I'd rather buy a new sub than any pair of shoes TBH.
