Anyone else a fan of this film? It's only available on DVD; I'm surprised Kino or Olive Films hasn't released this. I thought with 'Drop Dead Gorgeous' being released by Warner Archive, I was hoping they'd eventually get to this.

Now that WB licenses out their catalog, this seems like a good fit for the Shout Select line. They should be able to get multiple cast members to participate.

There's an HD Bootleg online with some bizarre cover art - does anyone own it? Wondering what the transfer is like.

My friends and I revisited this film the other night and it actually holds up. A teenage version of 'Working Girl'; performances are solid, comedy is strong and the soundtrack is great.

Watching this on DVD in my collection last week ago and this is the best movie of 1991 and definitely need on release Blu-ray in the future. I seen it in theater in 1991. This is still my Blu-ray wishlist

Kino didn't deal with HBO/Warner Bros. Probably hoping neither Warner Archive or Shout Select (only if deal with HBO/Warner Bros.).

I got it from the Stinky Tuna/Tuna Train site. You have to sign up and be approved. I don't know if that's the same seller or not but it could be they are also based in Flordia. Again buy at your own risk it's a bootleg.

If Warner has this they are stupid for not doing a Blu-ray for it. It's a pretty popular movie.

There is no 5.1 track so, if that's accurate, it's faked.

Never pay for bootlegs.

Yeah that's good advice except for the studios leave us no choice sometimes the temptation comes calling. Which is why I always say buy at your own risk as the quality will either be good or bad. If it's not an official product direct from the studios your purchasing it's a gamble. I only buy movies I really love otherwise I stay away from them if possible.

I just bought this and Johnny Dangerously on Blu-ray, from the seller linked in the original post. The picture quality on both is outstanding, and DTMTBD even has special features. I'm glad I took a chance, since it doesn't seem like either of them will be getting an official Blu-ray release any time soon.

Surprised this hasn't been negotiated by now from any of the boutique labels as it's a pretty memorable cult title from that era. This movie was pretty popular when I was a kid.
