+1

In my opinion, Serenity is one of the best movies of all time. The characters are what makes it so great. I can't understand why it did so poorly in the box office. I guess not enough people knew about Firefly.

I read a blurb on someone's myspace page once that Spice World is HUGE among the fetish community.

Apparently, there is a scene in which one of them is driving and the scene cuts to the lady hitting the gas in high heels and stays there for a good second or two. I guess...that's enough for some people

Got me...just what I read.

I'll also say Eyes Wide Shut, but I think someone else put it best on a similar thread. "People were expecting a Tom Cruise movie directed by Stanley Kubrick and what they got was a Stanley Kubrick movie starring Tom Cruise."

Not seen this one, actually I just became a Kubrick fan when I purchased "Full Metal Jacket" "A Clockwork Orange" and "The Shining" on blu recently... definitely need to check this one out tho

Default Underrated

Personally I thought "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson and "The American President" were two VASTLY underrated movies. I also enjoyed "The Majestic" with Jim Carrey. I would like to see the latter two titles on Blu- Ray someday.

Haha. I remember seeing that as a kid, and a few years ago during college I realized it apparently has a bit of a cult following... there were at least a few people I met who said it was one of their favorite movies.

When I first read a brief description of American President, it was along the lines of "President is a widower, starts dating again", and I instantly thought "boring". Because Aaron Sorkin wrote it, I gave it a chance, and now I'm convinced he can do no wrong (The West Wing was great, A Few Good Men was great, Charlie Wilson's War was good... except for the cheesy line at the end, etc., etc.).

As much as I hate that he's writing a movie about Facebook, I may just have to see it, simply because I trust his ability to write something worth seeing.

The Big Lebowski? Did that tank at the box office? Only a handful of people I know have seen or heard about it. It's great, IMO!

ARRTI is one of my favorite movies. I sometimes forget Brad Pitt is in it, because I saw it as a kid, before I knew who Brad Pitt was.
