I don't at all believe it's about "different themes and visions", not for a second. It's about how well the studio executives understand their IP. And right now, Disney is way ahead of everybody else.

I don't say that because I like Disney, in fact I loathe a lot of what they do. But I still give credit where credit is due.

[Show spoiler]Mobius (Owen Wilson) systematically breaking down Loki. He asked all the right question to completely tear Loki down. It was like watching a master at work. I'm guessing the next episode will be more of trying to recondition Loki.

When something is going as well as the MCU is, a few will always want to find flaws and tell others it isn't as good as they think. For some, it can be an obsession. Not sure why they wouldn't focus more on something else they do like. They're like grinches.

Everything we see and do in our lives influences us. The art we make is a reflection of that. Some of the greatest movies of all time only exists because of what came before. It would be boring if everything subsisted in a vacuum.

I love the
[Show spoiler]60's look of the TVA. I also liked the humor when Loki questions if he is a robot or not. I see lots of references to all sorts of shows in the previous comments, and I see those too, but I also get a strange Overlook Hotel vibe from the place.

ANother home run by Marvel. I'm looking forward to the next epsisode and I hope to see more of the TVA in the MCU. I bet they show up in the next Doctor Strange fro sure.

Excelsior!
This made me laugh, as I have seen something similar for each Disney+ MCU show to date. After just one episode, there are numerous posters claiming the show is a hit and the MCU did it again. Apparently, you can judge the series based on the first episode, only if you thought it was good. However, if anyone does not like the first episode or offers any criticism, that poster gets attacked and ridiculed. Followed by countless posts of how can anyone not like/judge a series, based on one episode.

There are more stones. They can make them relevant at anytime.

Apparently, the posters here have some kind of little club going on,where they band band together and snicker between each other when someone calls out their misguided love for whatever the MCU throws at them..

One of them is calling for me to be reported to the mods for what I don't know...go ahead, I say. All I did was voice an opinion. No name calling...no demeaning....nothing. Like the one says...ignore if you want.
Sorry, Loki not only ruined the MCU...it was pretty trite and bland. It took every little moment we all loved about Loki from the movies and trivialized it.
Maybe the rest of it will be entertaining...

I liked the episode. I don't have an opinion of the season as a whole for obvious reasons. The season can fall apart and be terrible for all I know. I'll never criticize someone's *good faith* opinion, good or bad. You can't tell me that there most of these borderline troll accounts are using good faith opinions.

Being excited by the first episode is like being excited for a movie based on the trailer. It's not for me, but I understand it. Who is anyone to say how anyone else feels?

I'd say this was a fair statement except for I don't believe the person we're talking about is a sincere poster offering thoughtful criticism. If you don't think that's trolling then I don't know what to say...

Jay beat me to it.

I've seen a fair amount of criticism about the handling of the stones, but I really like it. It just goes to show you how one character's MacGuffin is really only important to them. Outside of a contained story, an object is just that- an object. It puts the Infinity Stones and Thanos' quest into a new light- despite it being a massive, cataclysmic event in our timeline, it's little to nothing in others. To us, Thanos was the Mad Titan, but to other dimensions and characters, he's just some crazy dude or someone they've never even heard of.

What you don't realize is that since I've been following Marvel since 1963...(yes, Im really old)...Im really, really qualified to have an opinion of what they do.
But...since it doesn't seem to be your opinion....I'm a "troll" as you say.
That's fine...been called far worse.
The fact remains....Loki ruined everything.
The Marvel board meetings must now resemble a Lucas Films meeting where everyone is afraid to call out the big man when one of his ideas are just plain wrong.

In regards to the TVA’s drawer full of Infinity Stones, would Thanos had been capable of raising the TVA and possibly escaping with all six stones rather than going on some biblical ‘quest’ of his?

Then again, everything inside TVA is rendered completely useless so I doubt Thanos would even have a chance at escaping the facility.

Perhaps if you were to offer a better, fleshed out and developed opinion rather than posting home made memes and YouTube videos, you wouldn’t be tossed aside as another lame attempt at jabbing the MCU.

You have criticisms? Let’s hear them. Detail the flaws, pick out nonsensical plot points, refute the continuity issues. I’ll listen.

But don’t go about stringing along buzz words that hold little weight to your opinion only to get a reaction out of others.

I'm not aware of other jabs (a valid criticism is a jab?) nor do I care about such things...I really cant offer in depth criticism any more than I have...when they decided to use time travel as the basis of this story, they shot themselves in both feet and the head...any other observations are unimportant.
