California is so HUGE and DIVERSE in climate, geography, architecture, industry, culture, people, mindset, politics etc. etc. etc. that a gross sweeping generalization like this just comes across as silly.

Well, I did enjoy Lake Tahoe.

You missed when Deathstalker was "un-oop'ed" in January of 2020. It even stayed on the site for over a month before finally selling out again (it was limited to 2,000 copies each time it was in print).

That one has been OOP for so long that it seems like it should have happened by now. Another company release also should have happened by now.

There is no rhyme or reason to any of this shit and no telling what will or won't come back. It really sucks for those of us who missed some and now don't know if they should pay a bit extra now, or wait and hope. I got burned by Phantom myself as I just missed it during the Shout sale, then got what was "cheap" copy at the time off ebay. Cheap = double what it will be again. Thankfully I did grab everything else mentioned here when they were available, except Deadly Eyes. I was shocked to find that at the local used store in 2017 for only $15. It was already way over $50 online by then.

My guess is that everything that was licensed thru Fox lapsed when that deal ended, and everything going back in print now/in the future were licensed thru MGM directly

They definitely did new deals though. Mad Max and Hot Spot went to Kino. Most are in limbo, Phantom, Rolling Thunder, Crimewave, Town that Dreaded Sundown and some others went back to Shout/Scream. But some titles like the first Species and Pumpkinhead remained with Shout the whole time and were never announced as going OOP like all the rest.

Like I said, there is no making sense of this.

I don't think that's it. Some OOP and back-in-print titles alike say "under license from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment" in the fine print on the back cover. Phantom of the Opera and Candyman 2 are among them.

Leviathan and Lord of Illusions were two I regret missing out on, I just wasn't aware if them at the time. I hope they come back!

haha why are people listing the single-disc remake for $40something while the 3-disc that includes the original is going for like $5. I actually thought the 3-disc was more rare than that, so that's cool.

The remake is one that I crave to revisit every few years even though I know it's a disappointing watch. Kind of feeling that now.

Thanks for the heads up. I bought the 3 disc edition for $8 shipped. I prefer my aliens to be vicious, imperialistic and terrifying so I am not a huge fan but I figure I better get the original while I can. I checked on another blu I have been keeping my eye on and it is gone from amazon and I bought the last one on Ebay for $15. This one.

Not sure if it's going OOP or if just more are being pressed....

Mystery Men looks to be back in stock at Target and Amazon. Unsure if it's really OOP.

Not showing in stock anywhere else it's possible both Amazon and Target are getting left over stock from Universal. Definitely makes you wonder though if it's really OOP.

There are probably many more Fox titles to list, but Shame is one that I noticed climbing up today. It's a good one, so it's a [bummer] that it likely isn't at all a priority for any reprint.

And also, Velvet Goldmine remains as OOP as it has been for a couple years, but it's not on the list here.

I don't know... there is Peter Weller (Buckaroo Banzai and Leviathan) and William Petersen (To Live and Die in LA and Manhunter).

Corey has some tough competition.
