Nice. But these f***ers better release the sequels too, 'cause i'll be damned if i'mma watch a nice remastered Scream in 4K UHD then put in the manky old Scream 2 disc and have to tear out my own eyeballs.

Paramount releasing only the first Beverly Hills Cop on UHD is not a good sign.

I would think it's legit. Miramax titles are now under Paramount, and they have re-released a bunch on BD's under Paramount license the more recent.

Miramax. So probably released through Lionsgate I imagine. Be very nice to get a big box set with the sequels like they did with the Rambo films. The Best Buy steelbook set sort of came out of nowhere.

They’re probably waiting to see how well Scream sells on the 4K disc to decide whether to release the sequels in 4K as well. If it sells well they might release the sequels by the time Scream 5 gets its blu-ray (and hopefully) 4K disc release.

I'd even be happy with the Beverly Hills Cop route though. Original on UHD and the remastered trilogy in a 1080p collection.

Just having parts 2 & 3 on properly-remastered Blus would be a huge upgrade compared to the awful existing discs. The first is the "must-have" for 4K UHD, but if the sequels "only" came out on freshly-minted Blus, I could live with that.

I stayed away from picking up that awful Blu-ray. I'm no longer wasting money on inferior releases. Bring on the UHD.
