I have the UK release, and it's Sony, not Manga. Was one of the first BD's I had. It's Mpeg2, but looks ok as far as I recall. I've not watched it a second time yet.

The original UK release is from Sony, but Manga re-released it in the UK.

From what I can see, the US has only had the Sony release with the MPEG-2 encode and it is windowboxed. According to caps-a-holic the US Sony release features Dolby TrueHD 5.1 48/16 audio tracks, whereas the UK Manga release features DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 48/24 tracks.

The UK Sony release seems to have a Japanese LPCM 5.1 48/16 audio track and only a lossy DD 5.1 English track. Possibly due to the additional language tracks on the UK release to cater for the European market.

But the main differences are between the Sony releases in general and the UK Manga release.

Hey, Goofnut, in the list it is indicated that the UK release of "20 Million Miles to Earth" is out of print. I think this info is incorrect because the UK BD is available for purchase as an Indicator Series Standard Edition through the webshop of Powerhouse Films and Amazon UK:
