It looks like Warner will release all four Mad Max movies on 4K in an 8-disc UHD + Blu-ray set at the end of the year. The Taiwanese distributor of Warner has already notified retailers to tally the number of Steelbook orders.

Is it possible that the distribution rights are different for MM 1 in the US than Taiwan? Kino licensed from MGM, not Warner.

It'll probably be worth it considering Warner will probably not include the original mono mix.

Correct. The original "Mad Max" is MGM in the US and Warner internationally.

Same. I just picked up the Kino 4K of the first film and the new steelbook of Fury Road; not really interested in relegating them to the dust bin so soon.
