Yes, exactly. We know it’s meant to be her, given her ‘above the line’ credit, but the ways they’ve altered it makes it not look like her

I didn’t realize it was Drewnon the posted until this conversation. My girlfriend did. So I guess we equal each other out in this discussion.

They did, not sure how popular it was. Somehow they convinced social media star/A-lister Bella Thorne to do a small role in it.

I had no idea who the girl was either. But it's clear that the makers of that scene intended her to be sexy in it. So blame them if anyone's to blame. And stop being so judgemental of other posters for finding sexy girl sexy.

Yeah I guess she'd be more well-known with people who use Instagram and have watched Disney Channel shows in the past.

I loved the series, up until they went and decided to do a complete reboot for season 3.

Didn't watch that season, and since they didn't get a 4th, was probably the right choice to skip it

She is swimming in her own backyard pool. Should she be wearing jeans and a baggy t-shirt?

Oh, please. If you don't think that shot was intended to be sexy then I simply don't know how to explain it to you...

Season 3 sat on the shelf for a long time until Vh1 decided to air it over a 3 day marathon or something lmao.

It was basically "Scream: In The Hood" and was even more low budget with poor lighting and an ugly blue filter.

Am I the only one that feels like movies like Scream and American Psycho work well in their video-like, digital look?

Probably not. That's just how so many people would have experienced them for the first time, which is totally valid. I kind of felt that way about The Mummy until the 4K version showed me how filmic and rich it really was.

If you want to keep Scream looking like what is IMO one of the jankiest HD transfers ever created then be my guest. Most other folks want something shot on film to still look like film, and we’re desperately hoping that the supposed 4K does just that.

That said, I’ve got a bit of a nostalgia thing going for the Scream Ultimate Collection DVD box set. I sold mine many years ago but I wants it again.

There are definitely some movies where nostalgia for a digital look could still appeal for me in some narrow context. Maybe a "Swordfish" type title, but I can't think of many if any right off the dome; and certainly not Scream... even VHS quality still to this day tugs at my brain for some fare like Halloween, Apollo 13 (open matte), Top Gun. But I never want that quality to be played today on my 4K OLED. Because it won't be bring me back to that 90's feel. At all. You'd need a 4:3 CRT flat panel to even attempt to deliver that experience.

Similarly its odd to pine for LCD and cheap plasma eras (more aligned to a video-like presentation) for DVD and early BD masters.
[Show spoiler]Really good players with post processing settings on them to look better on HD screens. That was indeed at the time a "thrill" to reinvigorate one's collection in the mid 2000's. Etc. But you felt like you were missing something and then blu-ray came along. The digital look w/ aggressive post processing knobs employed FROM studios existed far longer than was ideal.

But nothing competes to an OCN scanned film mastered properly on 4K with supervision from videographers and the creatives to give you a "faithful" approximation, complete with organic grain structure.

I watched my Scream blu-ray yesterday. It looked awful. Nothing about it worked well.
