I ordered the movie in mid May and it was delivered late August. The seller explained that air mail in and out of Japan has been suspended indefinitely.

As far as I'm concerned, I used my OPPO-UDP 203 (and its external subtitle support).

If it didn't happen by now, I'm doubting it very much.
This release is from 2017.

Ah cheers. I'll see if I can locate some subs. Or get a local Blu ray and get from that.

Sorry if this is verboten, and apoligies in advance if it is, but does anyone have a suitable timed subtitle file for it? OCR'ing the Japanese ones is pretty tough. Seems half of the text is vertical!

But didn't Toho also release Miyazaki's The Wind Rises in mono just three years before Shin Godzilla?
Did they discover those theatre audio issues from theatrical showings of The Wind Rises?
