They are with Lionsgate. Hoping that means a 4K of 4 and 5 will come from Scream with the documentaries and extras from the boxset.

I hope this 4K at the very least has the corrections all have mentioned plus the commentary that was in the boxset. It's super strange that this is even happening, imo.

It’s hilarious is what it is, seems like Shout have freshly licensed it from Lionsgate just to do a cash-in version timed alongside the latest fillum.

Wait so the original Halloween is getting a release on UHD from Scream Factory? That’s cool but I was hoping for 2 and 3 to be released on the format by them.

I knew the days were upon us when double dipped in the SC/SF John Carpenter titles. I will triple dip when someone gets them right also!

Well, damn, guess I'll be buying this! Though...maybe next year will see 2 and 3 in UHD and the only way to get those is in a set with part 1...in a steelbook...you see where this is going haha.

I haven't heard of or seen this aspect ratio glitch you speak of and as far as extras go, what more can they say or do at this point that hasn't already been covered. Especially if you already own the 15-disk box set? This just seems like a wasted opportunity to actually release something worthwhile instead of something that has had so many releases and is already on 4K.

I'll gladly triple dip (already have the standard & steelbook versions) but really hoping all the HALLOWEEN films get 4K releases sooner rather than later. Possibly for the 45th Anniversary in 2023?

HALLOWEEN 4, 5, 6, H20 and Resurrection desperately need new scans.

And whatever happened to that alternate and deleted footage they found from HALLOWEEN 5 a few years ago?
