I showed him the MGS4 demo and he was like WOW that looks real as hell. Then i popped in Casino Royale bluray and he was like "huh" thats it, whats the fuss about bluray. So i popped in indiana jones, the mummy, Transformers, troy DC and he wasnt impressed. He agreed it looked sharp but not worth the money compared to DVD

is there any AWESOME PQ movie i can demo to him
If you are looking for straight impressive PQ, try these:

Speed Racer
Cars
I Robot
Baraka
Wall-E

If he still isn't impressed, punch him square in the face.

Cool

The two opening scenes in Casino Royale (including the credits song). Not only fast action, but good image detail and great sound!

IMHO of course

yes, rambo IV. starting it from when rambo tells the guy to "fire off a shot" with this .50 cal. everything after that is just amazing. the audio definitely trumps the video here though.

There are so many to Choose from...
Apocolypto - Waterfall scene
Ratatouille - Lightning bolt and shotgun scenes
Bolt - Entire opening scene
Kung Fu Panda - Tai Long's Escape and "Skadoosh" scenes
Quantum of Solace - Opening car chase
Planet Earth - Just about anything...

My most recent favorite is the Balinese Monkey Chant from Baraka...

I watched Ben Button last night and there are a few great scenes.

There is a scene when Ben and his lady are walking in the rain and the thunder storm goes off. Wow it was breathtaking.

There is also a scene with his father on the dock. Just beautiful.

Agreed, really any daytime action scene from transformers works very well for sound and PQ. My favorite would probably be the epic urban battle at the end.

The overall ultimate HT demo IMO is Transformers from the 1:42 mark until the 2:12 mark........the best 30 minutes of HT from a "demo" perspective at this point in time (if you have a kick ass sound system including a kick ass sub or subs)

gonna scan the thread to see if anyone else put this, and it's more visually focused (because I don't have the sound to tell how good it sounds) but I'd say

Kill Bill Vol. 1, the fight between The Bride and Oren outside in the snow.

The Fifth Element, the diva/opera/action scene.

Incredible music mixed with a good fight scene and sound effects.
