i've listened to that commentary twice and there's not a single thing on there that even touches hands with controversy, so unless mcelroy himself doesn't want it to be re-used, then why on earth wouldn't it be approved?

i'm bummed that the carpenter/hill/curtis criterion commentary track isn't being ported over for the first movie either.

If anyone's wondering, the vinyl bundle saves you a whopping $5 compared to buying them per listing.

Their Facebook post for Elvira mentioned that it is a "rigid slipcase" and the Halloween titles look to have the same deign so looks like they will be more like the Creepshow release - sans booklet of course.
Edit: the facebook post for the Halloween titles confirms it.

" A Blu-ray disc (sporting the new transfers) will be included in each release as well as some previously existing bonus features. Potentially more are in progress and we’ll update you in the future with those details when they come in"

I know I said it before, but I cannot fathom why the Halloween 5 newly discovered deleted scenes are not included. Especially since nothing new is included at all.

Does Halloween 4 and 5 not include their original stereo tracks? Their listings only mention new atmos mixes and the previous 5.1 mixes.

Same, I swore I saw it pop, but now nothing. As silly as it is, I'd like to have em all in 1 order. More likely Amazon will ship em in a box.

There doesn’t have to be any controversy, again Hughes’ commentary for Bueller is fine but it has not been approved for any other releases. All it takes is for the participant to deny the okay for usage or even ask for a payment that the disc producers can not afford.

The Carpenter/Hill/Curtis commentary was licensed from Criterion and only appeared on one release from Anchor Bay. Scream probably did not want to pay Criterion for it again.

They’re saving that for the 35th anniversary edition in 2024.

Technically, the only Blu-Ray release that it didn't appear on was the 2013 35th Anniversary release. The 2014 box set contained the 2007 disc alongside a newly pressed disc, as did Lionsgate's UHD release.
