Confession: I never upgraded to the original Lionsgate 4K just because I dislike the 4K slipcovers with rounded corners that seem to try and mimic the shape of steelbooks; especially since Halloween 2018 from Universal just has a normal slip. That alone makes me glad these are slipboxes. These will look good next to the 2014 boxset.

will probably order from amazon, the 7" singles are nice additions but I don't really need those, have the Mondo set of soundtracks on vinyl

I just Pre-ordered the 5 movie set with the Vinyl set. I don't really care about the Pins...I think this is the best option

Don't have this on UHD 4K but one of my friends does and the first disc looks alright but could use an improvement but glad Shout Factory is doing a brand new fresh 4K scan for this disc! should look stunning and better than ever.

The rounded slipcovers help avoid crunched corners common with shipping.

I totally understand why they do them and why anyone else might even prefer them to the ones with corners. I just personally don't like the aesthetic and am glad that most of the studios don't use them, or at least the studios I buy from.

At the current price on Amazon, all 5 of these would be $196.50 with tax. Way too rich for my blood.

Why wouldn't they put this in a box.. Seems like a missed opportunity. I'm sure it's licensing but would be nice even to offer a box separately. Super excited about the 4ks tho

I felt the same way initially, but eventually got around to embracing them as the rounded corners are less prone to dinging than square ones.

Curious to see what the Shout transfer will look like but TBH I'm perfectly happy with the LG disc (well, other than the missing OG mono track), which I think looks terrific.

Yeah, I'll wait on a better price for these. Was all wistful about not owning that big Scream Factory megaset recently, so these new 4K releases should do nicely. Hopefully the new transfer is better. The old 4K disc is desaturated as anything - which may be how they wanted it. But I'm hopeful Dean Cundey changed his mind again.

Halloween has had separate 4K releases in France and Germany, and Christine 4K, not sure if any master differences
