Overly dark and old films on cheap film stock just don't translate well to 4K/HDR especially. I'm happy for the fans but I don't see how this is a step up.
God if I got a quarter every time someone parroted this nonsense I'd have a lot of quarters.

I'm not sure I care about the vinyl. I don't currently have a turntable. The artwork isn't all that great so I don't really need the posters. I think I'll just order them from Amazon and save some money. Amazon will most likely lower the prices. I bought the HII & HIII SF Steelbooks about 2 years ago and now I'd like these. I just hope these new 4K transfers from the original camera negatives look great.

That’s nice that the extended version is included in this set. It was released in the box set previously but it was relegated to a bonus disc with a bunch of other special features inside of the case for Rob Zombie’s Halloween II. I hope the extended version will have the original mono.

Can anyone point me to a place where ALL special features ever featured on any release are listed for each of the Halloween movies? I just found out about a commentary track for part 4 that's only available on an old DVD release. I'd like to go through and try to get everything (if I possibly can). THANKS!!!

How is that JAWS looks great but not all 1975 movies on bluray or 4k do?
Simple, Jaws is one of the biggest summer blockbuster films of all time made by one of the biggest directors of all time. It has made Universal Pictures a boatload of money and they will go out of their way with time and budget to work on a picture like this to make it pristine. It's in a realm that most other pictures would not get in preferential treatment.

4k double dip dodged! Thanks to no mono on first release.

My OCD won’t allow me to do that. I took out the Rob Zombie movies and put the 2018 and 40th 4K in the box. After 20 minutes, I had to put them back. I just have them next to each other.

This matching cover scheme only really works if all the films get the treatment which is doubtful to happen (especially for H40), so I won’t really care if I don’t get slips. I still wonder if a complete set will be announced if Scream Factory gets the license to the Miramax films, Zombie films, and the Blumhouse trilogy when it finishes (which would probably only be for such a set).
