Default So I have $90 to spend...

In Canadian $ with a gift card, so I have to buy at Future Shop. That's enough for 2 or 3 titles (Or just Planet Earth) depending on price.

I so far have only the Patriot. I'm ordering Pearl Harbor, Phantom of the Opera, Underworld Evolution, Babel and Transporter 2 with the 5 free deal.

Any suggestions on what would be the best ones to get?

Not sure of your taste in movies, but I would get Pirates of the Caribbean, Gone In 60 Seconds, or Casino Royale... Or if you're a horror fan save it for October 2nd...

Not sure if you have/want Crank, but price-wise Futureshop is actually on the ball ($25.99) with this one... at least in comparison to amazon.com

Casino Royale is a shoe-in, great film, great for showcasing. Best in both areas.

Crank is also decent film, and I think is good for showcasing.

POTC, I think is decent in both areas.

Now, if you want something good to show off:
Planet Earth
Final Fantasy: Spirits Within (great quality, but yes, the story is lacking...heard other purely CG films also excel)
Animated films (I'd suggest Ultimate Avengers, but any cartoon greatly benefits from added HD)

Since you ordered Underworld: Evoultion, on the 25th of September the first Underworld will be out in an unrated extended cut. One I will definetly have to pick up.

I got Casino Royale, Stargate, Resevoir Dogs, and Apocalypto. They didn't have Kingdom of Heaven unfortunately. Is that a Paramount one?

No sense spending it all on Planet Earth when you can get it on Amazon later for $65.

POTC 2 and 300. Those 2 movies have some of the best CGI, audio, and PQ Blu has to offer

Yeah I'm waiting for a 3-set of PotC... Or at least buy all 3 at the same time if not.

^^You're definitely missing out. This one is different from the others in that the gee-whiz gizmos are kept way low... Its also cool to see a blu-ray player in the movie...

To OP:
Folks here have made a lot of useful suggestions already. Here's my $0.02:
If this is a combined celebration for the wife and you - you won't go wrong with Planet Earth. I realize that you won't have much (if any) money left over, but... its definitely worth it. You can buy the other titles - all good ones - later when you celebrate again. At least, that's what I'd do.

Rup.

Is it really that good? I wanted to buy it, but seems like a lot of money for the same kinds of I could see on PBS for free.
