Watched JW FK. Liked the movie, I was a little disappointed with the 3D. The bass was awesome, loosened my fillings.

Definitely worth a go if you go in with low expectations for the 3D. I find the movie to be endlessly rewatchable despite it not being anything special outside of the VFX etc.

watched Jurassic World with me son last night. I may get fed up as I watched 1 to 4 so far this week, but movie was ok I guess, it fits the story very well but it's a wash & repeat. 3D is mostly depth and less pop out as the 1st one. I'll have to see if Fallen Kingdom is worth the price tag or not.

Fallen Kingdom has weaker 3D than Jurassic World.

geez, ok. movie isnt so expensive but the shipping cost from UK is downright outrageous sometimes. it can vary from 3gbp to 17gbp for the same item.

Tbh I lost track of where this did and didn't get a 3D blu. I'm not sure what other cheaper options might be available.

I just finished watching The Monkey King 3.

I cannot say enough about this film. It was easily the best of all three (all excellent BTW).

Great story, marvelous action, gorgeous color saturation, detail and special effects.

But it's the 3D that I need to talk about most. Some films might have a little more depth. Others might have a little bit more pop out. But Monkey King 3 is one of those rare discs that simply integrates every aspect of dimensional placement so meticulously with ingenuity and thought. Each object was where it was supposed to be, not just stretched out to fit in general proportion. And unlike the first two entries, this was full screen 16x9 which enhanced the immersion even more.

Also saw the trailer in flat 2D with excellent detail and color. But the highlighted scenes had absolutely no impact.. This movie was made to be seen in 3D.

A joy to watch, my only criticism is with the 7.1 Dolby Atmos/HD Master Audio. Beautiful sound and score, I don't know if my receiver or the disc twice caused dialogue to move from the center to the right surround speaker (not corresponding with the visual). Note this was not abrupt but began after a pause in dialogue and when another actor begun his or her lines. Then others followed in suit. Had to switch between audio options for dialogue to return to return to the center.

A minor annoyance, nothing more.

It's region A but the extra features do not have English subtitles. None of this should cause any hesitation adding it to one's 3D collection.

A tip: order used 3D Blu-rays from sellers like musicmagpie on Amazon U.K. Just look in the ‘other sellers’ list on the item page. Their items are typically insanely cheap (ranging from just £1.50 to £7 depending on item popularity etc) and their shipping is always £4 flat. They ship faster than Amazon U.K. regular shipping and always arrive in good condition. There’s a few sellers like that, I buy used 99% of the time now since Amazon U.K. stopped having reasonable shipping charges.

Hi panman,

They are all English subtitled. The attached probably describes the monkey king better than i could because it's a bit complicated.

Geostorm is an excellent 3D experience. I didn't like the film at the cinema, and while I've softened a little after last night's 3D blu-ray screening, I still think it's one of the weaker disaster movies of recent years. The many fabulous 3D shots of the space station and shuttles/satellites, etc. more than make up for it, though, and the earthbound disaster sequences themselves, while too brief, look superb in this format.

Just watched National Parks Adventure.

This was a great documentary with references to more national parks than anticipated.

Beautiful photography and very good to near excellent 3D though not the reference quality of McGillivray's Grand Canyom Adventure.

In honor of Joe and his Mets, watching Chicken Little since there were all those problems today with one little fowl ball... That play was poultry in motion...

Last night hubby, the pooch and I watched "Warcraft". I had never even thought of the movie until I saw it super cheap at Hamilton Books.

Actually I found it rather entertaining with some very fine depth. I know it's based on a video game that I know nothing about. It kept my interest and didn't drag.
A surprisingly good movie that I would watch again in the future.
The pooch didn't like the Orcs (sharp tusks)

Still.................hubby and I couldn't help but remark at the obvious similarities to The Lord of The Ring movies right down to the red-haired dwarf.

Does anyone know if they made this movie with a sequel in mind? It just seems to me that the ending was left open for one.

And tonight's movie was "the Adventures of Tintin"

This has been sitting on the shelf for several years. I figured we needed a break from all of the films we've been watching the past two weeks that seemed to involve alot of creatures with super sharp teeth.

This movie was nonstop action, like watching an Indiana Jones flick.
I had to remind myself it wasn't live. Right down to seeing the lines and blemishes on the characters faces, the animation is spectacular.
The depth was consistent throughout with a few pop outs.

It's a fun movie, we enjoyed it.

And the pooch liked TinTin's dog.

Hi philsfan

Lol.

I caught the game in the top of the second inning and when I saw the score didn't bother watching further. Turned it on briefly and saw the Mets starting to catch up. But I did want to watch the national parks adventure 3D so I recorded the met game on the DVR and caught the comeback later on.

No I didn't see that play in the first inning, the ball did roll back fair and Walker made a minor league mistake. It reminded me more of Wreck-It Ralph.

Definitely in need of a sequel, I thought the movie was very good and the 3D at times great!
