There is NO replacement programe in the UK
There is NO remastered UK disc In fact there is NO remastered disc outside of the USA fullstop - clearly Disney does not consider regions outside of America to be important (and continues to sell the borked disc to unsuspecting customers in the UK, and rest of the World) The reason i know all this is as a result from constant, nearly daily phone calls (both national AND international - at significant expence) and emails, for the best part of 6 months This issue took me months to resolve, and lots and lots of jumping through hoops... I eventually got a replacement disc from America via the US Disney customer support... but not before i had to provide photographic evidence that i owned the disc.... in fact it was a handful of photographs, showing the front and back of the box and the contents inside, all sat on a plain piece of white paper with the email address i was corresponding to them with, written in large black marker pen, as proof that it was my own disc, and ... err.. my own photographs - lol I was eventually, after about 6 months of beginning the whole process, sent the remastered US disc, from.. well.. America I hope to God that i never have to deal with Disneys laughable UK customer support team ever again - It had got to the stage where i was beginning to think it would just have been easier to have re-bought it from the USA... I guess i should just feel lucky that Disney had not Region Locked it, or else there'd have been no solution at all... Differences: - Well apart from the fixed 'framing' issue... there is a huge amount of spam at the front of the disc you're forced to watch before you can get to the menus - meh. Does the UK disc have the same issue as the US one? I bought mine from the US because it was a lot cheaper so have no clue about the UK version. As it only last a few seconds I'm not that bothered about it either and don't feel the need for a replacement, but I am curious.
Also at one point play.com was selling the trilogy on Blu for £10.99 ![]() |
