What I am sure about, however, is that the Instagram filter bothers me. It clashes with the visual style of the rest of the series, and makes the movie less gritty, arguably less scary and more akin to a Lifetime Christmas TV movie.

The filter is very much present in the trailer. Just look at the blooming effect in the brighter daytime shots and the lens flares. It was definitely shot that way and not added in post.

What, teaser trailers can't have a color grade/post-production edit too?

It would be a shame if this was in-camera, though. I don't think a director would be that silly to let that occur.

The aesthetic is 100% dreadful for this kind of film, especially as it continues from a franchise that started on film in the 90s.

Artwork for this one better be pretty good to not have any sort of photos out yet. I know it's 3 months in advance, but I've seen artwork out for things coming that far away or further out before. Idk just excited!

It could be just a typo on Target’s end with
someone didn’t bother to type in R for the
rating when they made this listing. The same
steelbook at Bullmoose is listed as rated R.
I’m hopeful the uncut will be included
