Scream Factory Blu-ray Discussion Thread

I feel like Scream Factory wouldn't have two huge horror franchise release so close to each other. You just spent all your money on the Halloween releases and then in a couple of months later comes Elm Street. I predict if we do get a release from them it'll be in October of 2022.

Has anyone said it's not a set of all 9 movies? If you're going by the lack of pictures from the other films, I imagine the "One two" at the end of his post is meant to hint that more pic leaks will be coming.

I do agree with you that he should delete the post as right now there's no concrete evidence. Having said that, the fact that Cliff denied that they have them doesn't mean much. That's pretty much how SF work and most of the times they do have the film in question. Maybe this time they actually and really don't have the NOES films, but I wouldn't rule them out entirely.

see, the problem was that the fake announcement post went right for the NoES films, in 4K nevertheless… knowing they were heavily wanted-rumored but shot down just as heavily. it’ll cause some ruckus for a little while sure, but honestly, the one I think that they coulda “leaked” that woulda been a little more harder to squash woulda been faux Friday the 13th UHD discs for the first five that did get those new scans. the chaotic wave of people not only debating if it’s real or not, but just as many who were angry they ever bought the box set.

At this point I've read a few responses from Scream over this and they make a mention that they have no plans for it as a boxset or as singles. Recently I've had more lucky with them as they even told me on FB messenger that they were going to release the Dead Zone a year before it was even announced. I'm 100% certain it's not coming from them. At least this year.

I think that's their social media that does that. Cliff doesn't have that reputation as he usually tells it how it is, and if he can't reveal something he simply remains quiet and doesn't respond.

Yeah I think they'd look pretty daft if they vehemently denied it, only to announce a set in a couple of weeks time. No way is this coming this year. Hopefully it might be their big release next October.

They lied about Hell Night right up until they day they announced it.

Is he, though? Over the years I've seen lots of wild swings and assumptions from him, with a pretty notable hit and miss result. Anyone on these boards could make the same assumptions with a basic awareness of what labels have deals with certain studios. Add in his regular claims of antisemitism and pedophilia (among other unhinged statements), and I'd say he's anything but reliable.

DOTD is often a very valuable hub for info, but their assertion that Zolly is a reliable source--and amplifying a clearly bizarre statement that includes the accusation that he's been blocked by Scream due to antisemitism--reflects poorly on Dawn. I still can appreciate the work done there, but this was an irresponsible choice on their part.

That was my major red flag. At the very least you'd like they would do 1-7. This isn't like Halloween, or even F13 where the later sequels prove licensing nightmares... Although if they ever do release the full 9 film set (regardless of who handles the release) I'm hoping if I have to buy 'Freddy vs. Jason' for the fifth time, they will at least give the transfer a once over...

Zolly is definitely “off”. Dude has serious mental issues. But I never doubt his insider knowledge. Every time he’s told me privately about something coming soon from shout, 99% of the time he’s accurate.

It's blurays. I don't think you have to scoop a company on the announcement. Just let them have their official announcement the way they planned, and then you report on it. It's not watergate.
