A new feature-length true crime documentary aired on Quest Red this past Saturday night called Jessica Chambers: A Murder Mystery. Airing next Saturday night is another new feature-length true crime documentary, called Kentucky Murder Mystery: The Trials of Anthony Gray.

There was schedule change on Quest Red this past Saturday night. True crime documentary series Atlanta Justice was replaced (after two editions) by a new true crime documentary series called Signs of a Psychopath.

A new, second series of true crime documentary series David Wilson's Crime Files started on BBC Scotland this past Sunday night. Compared to the first series, where each edition was an hour long, it appears each edition in the second series will be on for half an hour.

Forgot to post about this last week. Watched this past Saturday night a one-off true crime documentary called The Wimbledon Kidnapping (it aired on Sky Documentaries). It aired in a two-hour timeslot (including ads). Very interesting story, better than I thought it was going to be. It was about the wife of a man who had something to do with a UK newspaper, who had disappeared. Her husband was receiving telephone calls from the kidnappers regarding the ransom. It happened in the closing days of the sixties.

Among the archive news footage, one of the reporters I recognised as Martin Bell (known more recently as being seen wearing a white suit). They showed some reconstruction footage from a BBC programme called More Than Murder. I've tried to find any information about it on the web. Nothing. Unless the reconstruction was called More Than Murder.

The last new edition of the current, seventh series of Ambulance will air a week on Thursday (not sure why, but I thought it was finishing this coming Thursday night). Airing in it's place this week is a programme presented by Patrick Kielty (this programme I thought was airing on another night this week).

Quest Red's Saturday night's schedule seems to change at the last minute or the day before sometimes. Found out later on this past Saturday that a new true crime documentary series had started called Highway to Hell.

Airing this coming Saturday night after Highway to Hell is a new feature-length true crime documentary special called Unraveled: Long Island Serial Killer.

I think this available elsewhere on Sky, a documentary about a murder case in the sixties, called The Witness. But it's being shown on Sky Showcase and Sky Crime next Sunday night.

Also, starting on Sky Crime on the same night is a four-part true crime documentary series called The Bambers: Murder at the Farm. All four episodes will be available on Sky's On Demand service from next Sunday. I can't remember the name of it, but there was a drama series on ITV which was based on this case (did actor Mark Addy star in it?).

Following on from the above, quoted post, a new, eighth series of Ambulance started tonight. It's still about the North West ambulance service, but instead of being in Manchester, they were in Blackpool and other areas of Lancashire for the opening edition of the new series.

Something else is on in place of Highway to Hell this coming Saturday night. Would be nice if Quest Red could show the entire season of a true crime show, instead of dropping it after two or three editions (my guess is low ratings).

Airing this coming Saturday night on Quest Red is new feature-length true crime documentary Who Killed My Son?

Following on from the above, quoted post, it turns out that there were only three editions of Highway to Hell. So on this occasion, Quest Red did show all of the editions and didn't drop the show from the schedules early.

Even though it looks like Homicide Hunter still isn't being shown on a UK channel other than Crime & Investigation (the show has ended in the States after I think a nine season run), there is a new true crime series with former detective Joe Kenda starting this coming weekend. American Detective with Lt. Joe Kenda starts on Quest Red this coming Saturday night at 11 pm. There are ten editions in the first season (it aired in the States earlier this year).

Airing on Channel Five tonight is/was a new feature-length true crime documentary called The Abduction of Lesley Whittle.

Following on from the above, quoted post (have done a post search in this thread, and the above, quoted post was the last time I posted in the Documentary series/mini-series thread about Ambulance (last autumn). Have read in the new issue of TV & Satellite Week magazine that a new series of Ambulance (based on my last post about Ambulance, this new series starting next week is the show's ninth) is starting a week tomorrow, Thursday 11th August (think it's usually aired before on Thursday nights) on BBC One at 9 pm - 10 pm.

Towards the end of the eighth series, the subject of the series moved from the North West to the North East Ambulance Service. The new, ninth series (based on the listings info) will be about the North East Ambulance Service.
