Yeah, what pisses me off is that I've wanted to pre-order since it was first listed.

But Best Buy, in all their infinite wisdom, never, ever even offered an in-store pickup option for pre-orders and now you can't even pre-order anymore.

Meanwhile, tons of other steelbooks releasing in September and on offer this option! haha

I got my order in just under the wire! Like Kylo_Ren, I was hoping to see a store pick-up option, assuming that gives me a better chance for an undamaged copy. But I gave up and ordered anyway--just in the nick of time.

It would be interesting if they already went through their inventory of these in pre-orders however things could always change before the release in just under two months, as perhaps they will have more available online, and maybe some in stores, but if it becomes available again, Kylo and others, jump on it if its shipping only as a precaution so you can get a copy as you never know, it could always arrive in mint condition.

I am hoping the "Coming Soon" indicates the end of online pre-orders and that they might now start allocating inventory for in-stores. Surely stores must get some for release day, right? haha

I realize its probably a long shot but wanted to ask anyways. Does anyone have any inside scoop on whether or not this will come back up for preorder other then the usual night before release?

Yes, and it also will be available as in store pick up,....but the better question would be how limited it will be after that. (my guess it will be limited, so grab it as soon as you have an option.)

I think it will come back up for pre-order because it has already come up as pre-order and then back to coming soon a number of times already. I am sure once it comes back up someone will post here so make sure you subscribe to this thread so you can get notified in case you catch it here before checking the site listing.

This is now back to coming soon, this is very odd.

With Best Buy re releasing LOTR, Hobbit, Rambo, Avengers all Boxsets after being sold out for I want to say a month minimum and some longer it makes them hard to trust.

Does anyone know for certain if they literally just started printing more copies after selling out? Up until 6 months ago maybe not even quite that long I don't remember them doing this. I don't think it's a good practice for a supposed collectable item and makes me less interested in purchasing these Boxsets.

I sort of took this opportunity to let off some of my hate that they are now regularly doing 2nd printings on popular titles after they have sold out. They should just cross the word collectable off of there releases.
I'm certainly not purchasing any preorders of Boxsets anytime soon after the run they have been on the last several months.
The Avengers Boxset was the worst, how many months was that gone gone before they reappeared a week ago 4-6 months, maybe longer?
This will probably sell out and come back in stock the way Godzilla vs Kong did I'm sure. Your right Best Buy has secrets!
