Post Pandemic? It sure doesn't seem like the pandemic is over according to anything that I have been reading. My cadre of doctors would certainly say different.

It's a shame that physical media is dead because there are so many discs being released between now and the end of the year my wallet is screaming. And I haven't even pre-ordered 1/4 of the upcoming discs I want.

So far these are the ones I have on pre-order:

And these were just delivered this week:

If it weren't dead I would be in real trouble.

Just waiting for Suicide Squad to premiere on HBO MAX later today. It should be in 4K DV / Atmos.

In the meantime I will resume watching Gangs of London S1 on Blu-ray -- whatta show!

I watched Colossal today and I can recommend it. Good and Funny.

It was on my local library's streaming service (Kanopy) there's a LOT of great stuff available. My library gives me 6 credits a month and all the stuff in the Kids section is unlimited. Digital people should not neglect the local library's streaming service.

So wouldn't that just be gossip? There is rumors that Disney won't be using her again and or she is done with future marvel efforts. These internet rags are not that trustworthy you know.
There is something poetic about leaving Marvel with Bkack Widow.

Barring tv makes it a perfect epic.

Can't wait for 3D and 4K (for the atmos mix)

Look at all of those pretty side by side thumbnail links! I hope to be able to do the same when I grow up.

If you do not need the links that tags provide then just copy, paste, space, copy, paste.

The article covers the time period of Feb 2020 to Jun 2021 when indeed it looked like the pandemic was coming to a close. Then the Delta Variant came blasting in July 2021 and continues to get worse each week.

Thankfully, it’s starting to decline in the U.K.

Unless you’re immunocompromised and x number (TBD) of months out from your last vaccination, those folks whom are fully vaxed need not worry about the Delta variant. What I’m more concerned about is if the resistance to neutralization by vaccine-induced antibodies in dealing with the little talked about Lambda variant carries over to be true from the lab - https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...07.28.454085v1
to the real world, and it could. Then, if so, that would not be good as many could die before the mRNA vaccines are re-tweaked and mass produced.

I heard about your hospitalization when I last visited this thread. What specific disorder, which Steed mentioned affected your heart, did/are you suffering from?

The director of the CDC today said this:

"Our vaccines are working exceptionally well,” Walensky told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer. “They continue to work well for Delta, with regard to severe illness and death – they prevent it. But what they can't do anymore is prevent transmission.”

“If you're going home to somebody who has not been vaccinated, to somebody who can't get vaccinated, somebody who might be immunosuppressed or a little bit frail, somebody who has comorbidities that put them at high risk, I would suggest you wear a mask in public indoor settings.”

Behind spoilers is a complete description of my conditions:

[Show spoiler]My laundry list of ailments include Left Ventricle Dysfunction, Chronic Diastolic Congestive Heart Failure (ejection fraction 40-45%), Chronic Acalculous Cholecystitis (gall bladder was infected and removed), Adhesions (scar tissue) in the small intestines that caused a complete blockage (2nd occurrence in my lifetime), and I had a 2 cm tear in the inner layer of the small intestinal wall that very nearly breached through the wall. Oh, and to top it all off: thoracic arthritis.

My cardiologist says that my heart had been pumping infected blood for too long of a time due to the gall bladder problem. He is optimistic that my heart condition will improve with time, but this has yet to be confirmed. I also had high blood pressure during all of these concurrent issues, but that is now under control

I continue to have elevated liver enzymes (namely GGT) at 82; should be below 65.

Currently I am taking Carvedilol, Lisinopril, Pantoprazole, Furosemide (as needed), and low dose aspirin. I am restricted to a cardio diet.

I see my cardiologist this Tuesday ahead of schedule as I am having some relapse issues. My fatigue has increased substantially after having improved and my cough has returned (this had recently been from fluid in the lungs due to my CHF).

There it all is; I don't think that I forgot anything. It is a lot for me to deal with and I have several doctors to juggle also. It can be overwhelming at times.

I've found quite a few to buy, too, and I have some lost time to make up for. This hobby of ours is one of the few pieces of normalcy that I still get to enjoy.
