I have also heard that the first Suicide Squad was not that good of a movie and that after a strong opening weekend interest in it dropped quickly. The poorly named sequel, The Suicide Squad, sounds an awful lot like the first movie's title and that may have caused some confusion. Some people mistakenly think that they have already seen it.

If the sequel is as imaginative as its title, I can see a problem right there.

With that being said, I enjoyed The Suicide Squad and am glad I saw it in theaters. The R rating fit with the material and any other time I think would have been more successful with that rating. Just bad timing.

I also saw Jungle Cruise and have to say I was pleasantly surprised. My expectations were low but it was very entertaining and captured the classic Disney adventure movie feel. It too deserves to do better than it is.

Of the two movies, I have far more interest in seeing Jungle Cruise. I am also content to wait for a disc release.

The first Suicide Squad was pretty bad in my opinion. It had its bright spots but definitely too much studio meddling.

This one is written and directed by James Gunn who did the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. So the tone is similar just with a hard R rated edge. It's very funny and can be surprisingly emotional. I don't recommend the first one but definitely recommend the new one.

Well, if I can remember that I don't already own the sequel I will wait for this to come to disc also. James Gunn may be all that, but he sure put no effort into picking a title that distinguishes the sequel from the original.

The widely held perception that the original movie was so bad might have lessened interest in the sequel.

I haven’t touched drink for 20 years. It’s just not important to me. I wasn’t referring to you though, even though you deserve a good drink after what you have been through recently.

I’m with Ender, really enjoyable stuff. Also, quite a full screening when I went. The U.K. is picking up.

In the news about the lawsuit Johansson has against Disney regarding the distribution of Black Widow...

"Johansson says she tried to renegotiate the terms of her deal in light of Disney's decision to modify the release of Black Widow, but the company didn't respond. If it's true that it ignored the leading actress in one of its flagship franchises, that would be a big enough problem."

I see they are about to post earnings and I hope the stock takes a bath because that's the way people really comminucate with these big companies. Everything is math now.

I feel like I'm over Disney maybe because my kids are grown. I don't feel the need to go to the parks ever again and I was never interested in the cruises or Disney on Ice shows. I am pretty fond of Belle so they aren't all bad.
