Saw copies of this at Walmart. Looks like the original seasons 1-5 MODs on Amazon are no longer being made.

I heard about Amazon ceasing the MOD program, but when I made posts on this forum trying to find out which releases would be ceased I was completely ignored. I ordered a few releases in preparation that it was true - I ordered Seasons 4 & 5 and some albums a friend released as MOD CDs through Amazon. I see they are unavailable also. That friend passed away in Jan from Covid, so I'm glad I did it.

I never heard anything about them ceasing the program until one day I couldn't find any MODs anymore. I'm glad I was able to acquire all five seasons of the original show beforehand when I first saw them. They are all on Paramount+ as far I can tell. Haven't watched any of them there yet, though.

Sorry to hear about your friend.

While I did miss out on the Are You Afraid Of The Dark season sets, I'm glad I bought some of the Nickelodeon MOD releases that I wanted while I could, if the rumors about Amazon discontinuing their MOD program are true. I've also heard that Allied Vaughn would be reprinting Nickelodeon's Amazon MOD releases, but so far they haven't reissued Are You Afraid Of The Dark.

At least I have a custom Blu-ray set and the Canadian Season 1 DVD. I think at some point I'll buy Seasons 1-5 on iTunes to show my support, in hopes that it increases the chances of getting the DVDs re-released (whether it's MOD or pressed).

Also, as someone who has tried, I'm not sure if a petition would be the most effective thing to do as movie companies tend to ignore them. While there's a chance that it may work if we had thousands of supporters and we got the majority of them to write directly to the companies in question, I'm not sure if it would be worth the effort.

I think we should do a campaign to get Paramount Home Entertainment to re-release the original Are You Afraid of the Dark? series on DVD for its 30th anniversary this year.

I've sent an email to Paramount Home Entertainment about the possibility of getting the show re-released on DVD. They wrote back and said they would forward my request to their marketing team.

To anyone else who wants to contact them, here's the email address:
phe_customerservice@paramount.com

If we can get enough people to email them about releasing an Are You Afraid of the Dark? Complete Classic Series boxset, I'm sure it will increase the chances of Paramount releasing it. Be sure to mention that you'd like to have the original 1992-1996 series released, as the 2019-2021 revival series has already been released on DVD.

I'd like to think the reason why there are episodes missing from Paramount+ is to build momentum for an upcoming complete DVD release. I bought the series on iTunes a few months ago and it had the episodes that Paramount+ didn't have, so that's good.
