This game finally got PS5 treatment.

Warning for those planning to upgrade for free from PS4.

The PS5 version ties the game save data to the boot-up. Normally this isn’t an issue but they added the performance mode option in the boot-up. Only upon boot-up can you select which mode you want. Graphics (4K/30) or Performance (4K Checkerboard / 60). If you toggle the in-game option menu to the mode you are not in, the PS5 game save data will corrupt & you’ll be forced to delete your PS5 save file.

I suggest picking 4Kish/60 & leave it there.

The game looks much better now in HDR. The lighting got a nice upgrade in general. Also the 60 mode seems to be locked 60. I did notice PS5 dropping frames on the PS4 version running 1080p/60.

They added Haptic & Adaptive Trigger sensitivities in the options as well as a 3D Audio option. I tried the Haptics but not the Triggers or 3D Audio. It’s nice to have but ended up turning it off as it drains battery life fast.

Finished the Clint DLC content they added. Roughly a 2-3 hour play-through.

Game still has minor issues & the gameplay is mostly unchanged. In around 3 hours, I levelled up Clint from 0 to 20. So like always, the Internet lost it’s crap about the news CD was gonna slow that progression down. They didn’t do jack. You level up real fast.

As for Clint, well aside from his 3 abilities, that’s all that really separates him from Kate. The new Map they added is welcomed but I think most people will just be done with this game after finishing the DLC.

Loading times are improved on PS5. You now have moments when starting a mission to skip cutscenes to get to the map quicker. Also when using the cursor over a cosmetic item, it automatically previews the outfit for you in real time thanks to the fast loading.

Played for the first time since launch week yesterday and the most welcome change for me was that changing characters was instantaneous. I was a bit confused looking for the faction characters only to find out they’d moved to the base in the Pacific Northwest.

Been trying to download this since yesterday. The download has failed on me two or three times because of PS5 system error that loses internet connection and forces a restart to fix. Going to try and continue the download tonight so I can maybe play Saturday morning

It's already a $39.99 PS5 game (about the same as Control), so I'm hoping later down the road it's the free PS5 game on Plus.

They slow down the levelling at 25 so going to level 20 would have been the same as always.

Didn’t notice any change as you suggested.

Am at level 29 from 20 after an hour or so.

The 3D Audio is definitely not using Tempest. Tried all 3 options using the Pulse 3D.

The best option is to leave the PS5’s System 3D Audio disabled & use the in-game option for 3D Audio instead. Activating the PS5’s 3D Audio will drown out mid range & muffle or drown out treble because the LFE is increased too much. (Silly devs) The 3rd option is having both settings off. The game will sound ok but not as loud & the spatial Audio isn’t there.

Finally got the download to go through on Friday and finished the campaign up today. I did not enjoy playing this game. I say it like that because I enjoyed (most of) the story but the actual gameplay was just so...boring. Which is not something I ever would have expected to say about a superhero game. It was especially pronounced after playing through the Arkham series, Insomniac’s Spider-Man games and the PS4 inFamous games in the last six months.

I didn’t stick around for the extra DLC campaigns when the credits rolled, I just ejected the disk and put it on the counter to bring it for trade in tomorrow.

I never subscribed to the complaints about the ‘store brand’ Avengers look and think the final designs were fine, though Cap’s was marginal. I will say that I thought Troy Baker as Bruce was definitely a miscast, but North was born to play Stark. Bailey was good as Natasha as well.

Picked this up on Friday because on sale. Looks great on the Ps5. I am enjoying playing as Hulk a lot.

The beginning as Ms Marvel was enough of that character for me.

Black Widow and Thor seem fun from the prologue. Story is meh so far. I like to smash stuff with Hulk. He, Spidey, and the X-Men are about all I really dig from Marvel comics (do like most of the movies tho).

I had the same problem. PS5 is so buggy. I still cant use the rest mode as it crashes and says I didnt turn off the system correctly.

On another note, I bought this over black friday and after a few hours seems okay to me. I'm guessing the end game is bad?

On the PS5 version if was auto installed for me. I have the disk if that makes a difference?

I have the PS5 physical disc as well, I wasn’t sure it both DLC was already installed or if I had to install both DLC myself through the PS Store.

The game gets updates regularly. There are no add-ons. Ya either have the game updated or ya don’t.

Mostly just bug fixes. The last update included Hawkeye & new missions in the Wasteland.

I finished the DLC online crap to get the new major artifact. That mission chain is buggy as hell. In order to do step 3, you have to turn off your internet.

Black Panther & his expansion is supposed to be released as well as UI changes. Not sure how in-depth the UI changes will be.

New outfits, missions, enemies etc..
