Does anyone know if this set has the remastered 1 to 4 like the US release? I'm tempted by this since I don't currently own any of the films but I won't bother if it's just the old discs

Yeah. At the very least they could have made parts 5-8 brand new discs even if they werent going to remaster them. And they should have included part 3 true 3d.

Im pretty sure 1-4 are remastered. A ton of international people are buying this Paramount set because the Shout set doesnt have foreign subtitles and is region A locked and is in a lot of cases very expensive to import. And theyre buying it for the new remasters for 1-4.

From the Amazon US SteelBook listing:

This collection contains newly remastered editions of the original theatrical cut of FRIDAY THE 13TH(1980), FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2, FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 3, and FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER.

I can only guess that Zavvi's discs will be the same.

By theatrical cut of the original I'm assuming they mean the US R rated cut? If so I'll skip this.

Every release of the film here in the UK has been the unrated cut. I don't think it's unreasonable to want the latest UK release to be the same.
