Young Sheldon S4: No Blu-ray? - Blu-ray Forum

Is there any reason why Young Sheldon: The Complete Fourth Season would only get a DVD release and not on Blu-ray? BTW, the 4th season DVD comes out on September 7, 2021. Does this have to do with Warner Archive?

The same reason that any show only gets released on DVD: the previous seasons sold poorly on Blu-ray.

The September Warner Archive releases haven't been confirmed yet, so wait until later in August when they're confirmed before thinking it won't have a BD release.

I know I typed this answer yesterday in a different thread -- it was at the end of the S2 thread

We'll see when the September announcements are made within the next week or 2.

Often the WAC BD aren't announced at the same time as the normal Warner DVDs
Season 1,2,3 were all released in September so for now that's my expectations. YS seems like it would be a perfect quick sell compared to some other TV sets.

Last year's Bluray press release for S3 was Aug 18 and 1st season on Aug 19 (2018) -- typical 3rd Tues/Wed like was nromal for WAC for a long time until FB started doing them early in the month last Oct/Nov for a few months.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing and was concerned when I only saw the DVD listed.

Any TV show that gets a Blu release after season two (if that) is gonna be rarer and rarer as time goes on.

I've pretty much given up hope on ever getting The Orville on blu. Ah well.

I've been burned many times with many shows and now. I'm at the point where I purchase as much as I can on Blu-Ray and the rest off Itunes

What a relief. Its insane that being able to continue to watch shows we love (because streaming can be pulled at any time, even purchased copies) is so anxiety inducing these days.

That is great news for tv show fans and those of Young Sheldon.
I am still waiting to but the whole show, never seen it but was a big fans of TBBT.
I will probably want to buy it when it's OOP.

Seems like it just has to just do really badly for WAC to drop a title (or have mysterious rights issues like iZombie). They just don't announce them at the same time as the BD most of the time.
