Since Universal is offering the film on HDR10+, I'm wondering if Arrow's long-rumored U.K. release will offer Dolby Vision with a steady encode as I could see a similar scenario like what Uniiversal did with "Parasite" which had HDR10+ that hovered around the 60 mbps mark while the Korean edition offered DV along with a much ridiculous higher bitrate around 90 to 110 mbps.

I can’t see Universal letting a western release outdo their own version w/ref to the flavours of DV. The two indie UHDs of American Werewolf (one French, one German) don’t have DV despite their respective vendors utilising DV on other UHDs they’ve done.

Jackie Brown is on another Stratosphere compared to this. This basically becomes the Shosanna show. Will definitely buy on a 9.99-12.99 sale though for Waltz. Pitt could have been used better in this somehow.

I find all his work to be sort of mediocre aside from the last film that came out. Mind you, I've only seen 5 of his movies. I just don't see the compelling reason to like him.

This is pure supposition, but I think Arrow's original plan was probably for a standard blu-ray special edition that was then put on hold/cancelled once Universal decided to reissue the film themselves on UHD.

Of course it's still possible that Arrow will release their own bells & whistles edition sooner than later- though honestly my (very exhausted) wallet would prefer that they didn't.

I promise you that if we ever get an Atmos or DTS: X mix on a Tarantino film that it 100% won't be his doing. The man absolutely loathes modern sound mixing trends and has said as much at multiple screening events I've attended over the years here in LA.

This is always comical to me when you are basically watching a digital mock-up of an analog source in its purest form.

You can't take movies too seriously because nothing is real. it's only make believe. The only elements of filmmaking are real is the actors and actresses, and they are portraying fictional characters that aren't real, unless it's a biopic.
