Not the case -- the home-video division of Warner Bros. has nothing to do with the fortunes of the theatrical division; in fact, they've been in direct, heated competition with each other for decades now (deliberately so, this trend going back to when Jack Warner originally founded the studio, purposely placing his various divisions in direct conflict with one another, on the Nietzschean theory that all would emerge "stronger" for it). There's no way such a niche title as this one could in any way recoup money lost by a $200 million film released by the feature-arm of the studio.

The missing extras are a head scratcher. I hope someone gives us some info about that. About the artwork... yeah, these blu-ray releases have been getting some lame , stock artwork probably put together by someone who doesn't care very much. But hey, at least it's these shows on blu-ray.

I mean, the missing commentaries really just baffle me. It's maddening. With the Batman Beyond set when some of the episodes were 'smart-rezzed' I was disappointed but I could understand it, somewhat. After all, the source elements were damaged.

But this? There's no reason for it. If they can't find the original audio files for the commentaries or something, just rip them off the DVD. It's not hard. It's almost certainly what the pirates are going to do and Warners have given otherwise enthusiastic consumers that incentive to pirate. It's not like there's no space on the disks either

The Batman Beyond Blu-ray did port everything over, yes.

Justice League is actually missing a few things from some "soccer mom" DVDs and the standalone movie release of "Starcrossed." I can't remember what, though. I think maybe a featurette and some episode introductions.

Justice League Unlimited is missing some things as well from the season set DVDs, a featurette from the complete series bonus disc, and maybe something from a "soccer mom" release. I'd honestly have to check to be sure.

BTAS is also missing a few things as well.

The 2008 complete series set had a new featurette on the exclusive bonus disc called "Shades of the Bat: Batman's Animated Evolution" that covered Batman in animation from the Filmation cartoon up to 2004's The Batman and ran about 23 minutes.

The second "soccer mom" DVD (Tales of the Dark Knight) included a nearly 6 minute featurette called "Voices of Gotham City" which included brief (possibly older, repurposed) interviews with Kevin Conroy, Andrea Romano and Bruce Timm. On top of that, there were four episode introductions featuring Timm for the episodes on the disc which are nowhere to be found on the Blu-ray.

On the third of these "soccer mom" releases (Out of the Shadows), there are another four episode introductions which are missing from the Blu-ray.

The fourth of theses DVDs (Secrets of the Caped Crusader) had a pop up trivia track that you could play over "Heart of Ice" which never made its way over the the Blu-ray.

So, BTAS is actually missing 2 featurettes and 8 episode introductions, but those are honestly not nearly as informative as the missing Superman content.

I was referring specifically to the extras on the individual season sets for Justice League and Batman Beyond, but you are correct. They did leave off loads of episode introductions from the B:TAS 'soccer mom' DVDs. I thought they included them all, it seems very weird to include only a portion of them.

It'll be good that the audio will be remastered as I have the UK Complete Series DVD release and noticed on numerous occasions how the audio was off-centre which was very off-putting.

Vudu just updated the seasons and series bundle to HD for those not waiting for the physical release.

Edit: Now if we could just get WB/Vudu to update the mid 2000's Teen Titans bundle to HD, I'd be all set with pre-2010 WB animation.

I was just reading up on what looks to be missing from this set. Like others, I'm pretty disappointed. Is there a chance that any extras could still be announced or is the barebones version of this official?

Amazon says it will hit on Oct. 19th.
(BB still has Oct. 12)

A small delay?

Could anyone confirm if it will have Spanish subtitles?
In the slipback states it only has English and Francais, but in bluray.com it states English and Spanish.
Is it a mistake?
Thanks guys!

Do we know what order the episodes will be in? I've never watched Superman before, but BTAS went by production order while Batman Beyond went by airdate...

It should be the same as on the DVDs, which I think was production order. But it doesn't matter because I don't think it particularly aired out of order

I am doing the same. I'm enjoying my Justice League (2001) and Justice League Unlimited (2004) blu-rays while I wait for next month's release.

Two questions: Have the addresses the missing extras and will it contain a digital code?

According to https://dcau.fandom.com/wiki/Superma...eries#Episodes it did. Even some of the two parters were split? Not sure how much it matters outside of the two parters though. Anyway I don't know what the DVD order is either (obviously). I assume Legacy being out of order was them getting a headstart on the ending...

I guess going by the numbers it would either have to be airdate, or some sort of mixed order.

Don’t know if we can say for certain until it is released. I would believe the box art images we have now that it does include Spanish subtitles. The Batman series set did, so I would hope this does too.
