They should have kept their original announced cover. Not a fan of this one.

Yeah, the cover is not nearly as good as the original cover. But, SO excited this will be a 4K release! And the fact it comes out during the BN sale is icing on the cake!

The train from where I live would have taken 8-10 hours. Much faster to drive.

The cover looks more like a promo shot than proper artwork. Still cool to have it on 4K. Hopefully other recent films like Roma and The Irishman are forthcoming.

I would think those are coming soon if they bothered to re-release this on UHD. If they are, that's two purchases from this wolf. I specifically passed on those two titles multiple times during the B&N sales for that reason.

That would make sense if any of their other films had been released by Criterion, especially Good Time since it's with the same studio but seeing as how Good Time or any of their earlier films, I would assume that either the Safdies/A24 forced Lionsgate to license it to Criterion or that Lionsgate and Criterion have a deal with each other. I personally hope it's the latter since Lionsgate has a vast library to explore and choose titles from.

I could see Netflix wanting to keep the 4K as an exclusive on their site. But I would rebuy them on UHD!

Yes. Yes. YES!!!

4K BABY!!! 😉☝️ I’m sure this will be one of the hot titles for the B&N sale.

As for the cover… well… hmm… 🤔 I wish they just kept the original. Nothing wrong with it, except maybe the title was too small (smaller than the original poster). Maybe they should’ve just changed the cover for Citizen Kane instead of this one? 😅

I know I’m late to the party, but I actually just saw this film for the first time this weekend and I actually liked it a lot! Great performance by Adam Sandler!

Hopefully if they scanned the negs at 4K originally they’d be able to re-render it. Although I’d be happy with just a 2K upscale and HDR.

Now it's time to Criterion to re-release all the film that should've been released in 4k in the first place. The Elephant Man, Parasite, Crash, The Irishman ect.

Great surprise! Seems Criterion might be going in heavier with these UHD titles.
Might be less picking and choosing than we thought. Very welcome!

That cover however is not. I get wanting to differentiate it from what already exists but man. lmao
