Can I ask a question that I'm assuming is on the minds of at least a few people?

What the heck is this competition anyway? What does the connotation "Miss Golden Harvest" bring with it?

Based on the pics alone, I'm assuming it's something that's at least good/respectable, but I'm just picking up weird vibes from this whole thing.

I was a bit curious, so, I did some digging and found this...

Yes, I found that shortly after writing my post. I just couldn't resist anymore and had to know what this competition was all about.

Interestingly (depending on one's definition), I couldn't find any criteria for how one votes for Miss Golden Harvest.

Also, I feel kind of dirty for looking at those pictures. I don't know why. How old are these individuals anyway?
