Aren't the British cases in this set thicker than American ones, like most British releases? If so, we in America couldn't have these slipless without them sliding around too easily in the box. I fully expect ours to be slipped again.

EDIT: Nevermind, I read it wrong and you're right... I guess someone will have to listen to the audio.

I know I'm late to the game, but the specs for the audio are on Sony's website (unrated is listed). No guessing needed. Judging by the mock-up photo of the box, I would assume the US version has slips.

Also, their release date reads Oct 12. Some websites still say Sep 28.

Yes, you are late. I missed the 5.1 with the UK back cover (hence the edit) and it was also only re. the UK to begin with and we eventually settled it yesterday already.

Removing comments completely instead doesn't seem right to me, if quoted already.

The bonus disc with short films is actually housed in a sleeve fixed to the inside back section of the book (took me a while to find the bugger). So no rubbish looking disc in CD sleeve chucked in at the last minute this time around.

Slips were in the North American editions only IIRC. However, we had stacked discs here whereas UK got flip trays.

I always assumed that the UK releases come in fat cases because of the rating logos. Nope, that doesn't seem to be the case.

They do, 99% of the time. But this Columbia Collection layout is 'special' because each recess was designed to house 3x 11mm cases with slipcovers, right, and it does so perfickly in the case of the American set. But as Sony decided not to issue slipcovers for the international versions then it's now too loose for 3x 11mm cases and it's too tight for 3x 14mm 'fat' cases! So they had to bodge this arrangement of one skinny, two fatty. No sir, I don't like it.

To be honest, I was looking out for the white paper sleeve case as seen in vol.1, so in the absence of that, I thought perhaps it had been mistakenly left out. I even scanned through that unboxing vid a few pages and didn’t catch a glimpse of it there. I then went through the entire set again, with a fine tooth comb, and found it hiding at the back of the book.

Weird mix! If they could do two skinnies in total in the box, why not do all skinnies and include slipcovers?

Oliver was the main draw in the set for me. Oliver and The Social Network are the only ones I’ve seen before.

Actually people have and still are selling LOA on Ebay, going for over $150. I truly hope someday Columbia will sell it as a stand alone disc, as IMO, no 4k disc is worth the Ebay selling price
