Did you hear Michael when he replied “You are on the way to destruction. You have no chance to survive make your time”?

I definitely don’t think this is the last we’ll see of these films on physical. One way or another, they’ll find another way to milk this cash cow since the Halloween franchise is a major tent pole for Scream Factory, just like it was previously for Anchor Bay.
It's really all dependent on two factors for physical media to continue. The first is whether home media manufacturers (Sony, LG, Samsung, etc.) are willing to continue releasing 4K UHD players. I have yet to see an affordable 4K player on the market and the options we do have are slowly drying up. I expect to see only high end niche companies continuing production of 4K players and asking $1000-$2000 for them: See the Reavon UHD Blu-ray players for example. The major players are devoting all their attention and R&D on 8K technology and I see that becoming the dominant factor in the next 5 years.

The second is whether disc manufacturing plants will remain open. We have already seen this impact production of current products in the market going all the way back to 2018. If the pressing plants continue to close, the cost to sell these discs will increase in price until there is nowhere left to go to create the physical medium.

I agree that this is not the last time that Halloween will be reissued, I just think future reissues will be on streaming platforms and they will be barebones releases: you get the "remastered" picture and one audio option (Dolby Atmos and each audio successor that follows). Whatever the results are for this release, it will have to be considered good enough for all of us because this is the work we will see ported over from this point forward.

Samsung stopped making disc players full stop a few years ago. No great loss.

My Samsung UHD player has never had a single problem. My only issue is that it doesn't play newer Blu-ray discs.

Agreed, which is why I see Halloween having maybe one last physical release on the 45th Anniversary (2023). There's not a whole lot more Shout Factory (or whoever ends up owning the licensing at that time) can add unless they spend a mountain of coin getting staff to hunt through the vaults for material and pay the costs to use and compile the material. They have reached the limit for picture quality (unless they completely botch the encoding), the next logical step budget wise is to get the audio done right.

Luckily, my PS4 plays the handful of newer discs in my collection like that. It's irritating, but it's all about not having any firmware updates for three years. And yet, the UHDs play fine, which is weird. I'm okay with it, though.

Funny story on that saying. When I worked at a small town newspaper for awhile back in 2003, there was a press release issued from the PD of a nearby town talking about "investigating" some threatening texts posted on a business door reading "All your base are belong to us. You have no chance to survive make your time." It gave me great pleasure to properly report the origin of that phrase in the morning paper. No arrests were made and I assume it's very much a cold case now.

I bought my Panasonic 420 UHD player for around $200, maybe less.

My old Samsung blu-ray player was the worst player I ever owned. Stuttered on everything.

The worst DVD player I ever owned way back was Samsung. Stuttered on everything.

The worst TV I ever owned was a Samsung 3D 1080p set. The backlight bleed and clouding was shocking, and the screen developed a flaw in 3D mode months later that resulted in a tech claiming it a total loss (got store credit for that one thankfully, after a major battle with Samsung to approve the credit).

There are plenty of players under $200 for the taking that get the job done.
"No afforable players" means you actually haven't ever looked or are a model queen tbh.

The cheapest 4K player I have found is around $249 CDN. Even though I didn't mind purchasing a 4K player, a lot of general consumers are going to be turned away from that price point when they can either get a Blu-ray player for $49 CDN or just sell their physical media and go directly to streaming.

Let me know if anything has been left out from the list.
Depends on how technical you want to be with missing features. The Criterion laserdisc, for example, also featured an isolated music & effects track that hasn't been brought over to any subsequent release [s]and the superior mono track that has been discussed non-stop[/s].

Again pointing out this inexpensive release for anyone who wants these two special features and would prefer the commentary track on a HD presentation of the film:
