Ps3 - Blu-ray Forum

So I know this will probably be moved into the dredded off topic discussion waste bin...

But I just wanted everyone to know that my new 60gig PS3 is on a UPS truck somewhere making it's way to my house... And it should arrive in a few hours.

Thanks. I've waited TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long to order it. And finally just got tired of just having STD's I needed some blu in there as well.lol.

can't wait to hook it up and start viewing. As I have no games it will be mainly a film player... maybe until FFXIII comes out. Unless I play FFXII on it again, or maybe oblivion.

Ok first thing on your check list is buy the western digital Scorpio 250gb Drive and put it in.

Then your good to go.

Hey, this is my first post. I just joined. I too just got a PS3 about 3 weeks ago. I also just got a Samsung LN-T4065F to go with it. I have been on a Blu-ray buying frenzy. I just want to say thanks to this site for helping me make my format decision. I have a Xbox 360 but have opted not to by the HD-DVD player add on. I'm going Blu all the way.

Please don't say STDs, that stands for something else entirely. Say SDVDs...

depending on your set-up, there are a few settings you will need to adjust.

what HDTV do you have? will you be connecting with HDMI or Component? HDMI for audio, or Optical? Using a Reciever (which one)?

I'll post some setting changes you may need to make...
