Actually, the tradeoffs for MicroLED are few:

Low power usage
Modular Construction
OLED blacks
LED brightness
4K and 8K resolution
90% of Rec. 2020

Like all new displays, it will be expensive at first. But once mass production takes over, the cost will plummet.
