It was free but hasn't been for the last few months.

Cost me £21.50 using £5 off discount through the rewards points I had.

Doesn't look like it. I've been checking the "Coming Soon" page on their site pretty frequently and it's still not showing up there

I don’t think it’s weird, I still love Shanghai Noon and the first Rush Hour. Those were both from back in the days when I didn’t have access to most of Jackie’s back catalog and they were very entertaining.

I personally just always love Jackie teaming up with others in his films. I will always love his team ups with Sammo and Biao the most, but I felt his comedic efforts with Owen and Chris were still a lot of fun, even if the action was nowhere near the standards from his days in Hong Kong.

Rush Hour was one of my earliest dvd purchases and I really like it. Oddly I had picked up the sequels and they sat on the shelf for years never watched. I didn't expect to like them but a few months ago my daughter asked to watch them as we enjoyed the original together. Have to say I enjoyed the heck out of the sequels. Not claiming they're special or noteworthy, just quite entertaining

Nope. Unless 88 is finally going to change their operating model with their new warehouse move, they only allow preorders through Amazon UK and elsewhere MONTHS in advance. Then at some random time -- anywhere from a week before release or even AFTER release date -- they'll offer it on their website. I'm hoping this will change, but they have some of the worst communication in the business. It's a shame because their releases are generally fantastic.

88 announced Armour Of God will be released Nov. 15 -- Sure. -- but Amazon lists Dec. 13 and you can preorder now.

Thanks. I didn't think it was either but I was confused about the comments on shipping costs which, to me, didn't seem to be related to Amazon. Perhaps they weren't, maybe the OP was referring to another retailer.

The lack of pre-order is especially frustrating for me as I cannot pre-order from Amazon to an Australian address so I will need to wait until the release date or the 88 pre-order to go live.

Not sure which OP you're referring to, but 88 used to offer low price untracked international shipping options, including FREE to UK. Then last year only offered tracked and pricey options, then just 4 months ago went back to offering the cheap untracked option, and as of this month returned to only offering the pricier tracked option again.

Being a fan of Jackie Chan since 1986 (when I saw for the first time Armour of God at a schoolmate's birthday party, on a crappy VHS tape) and seeing home many people posted their lists already, I would like to share my Top list in no particular order:

Drunken Master
Snake in the eagle's shadow
Fearless Hyena
The Young Master
Project A
Twinkle, twinkle little stars
Heart of the Dragon
Police story
Dragons Forever
Who am I?
Drunken Master II
Rush hour
Shanghai Noon
The Foreigner
Railroad tigers
Little big soldier
The karate kid

Some unusual choices, but compared to the likes of Tuxedo, The Medallion, Spy next door, Kung fu yoga, Fantasy Mission Force, The Prisoner, Police Woman, Bleeding steel and other atrocities in the career, all of the rest are just great, even most of his screen efforts at Lo Wei company.

The Prisoner is Island of Fire right? I agree with the other worsts, but this movie I really like. So much that I hope 88Films will release it at some point...

The Prisoner is improved greatly by the much darker longer cut. Taiwanese cut I think is only way to see it. Devastating sub plot omitted from shorter cut. It's a great prison flick imho.

All those awesome features on Disc 1, that is a packed disc.

Kinda feel sorry for Disc 2 lol Have you thought about spreading some of the extra's over to that disc ?

Whats the difference between these?

Disc 1
2.0 Classic English Dub (Lorelei)
2.0 Classic English Dub (Flight of the Dragon)

Disc 2
Original Classic English Dub

From owning the UK VHS, would the disc 2 dub be the one i would have heard originally?
