Absolutely not a stupid question! I am assuming they are awaiting a new scan from Paramount for Targets - or perhaps getting a specific extra sorted? (e.g., maybe they needed extra time to interview Bogdanovich?)

Anybody else?

I'm assuming this is a release date change and not an Amazon supply issue (from the wording of the email.
Slipped again. Now saying November 15th.

Amazon actually say the release date is Monday 8th November for Bergman 2.
They pad this to an estimated delivery date of the 13th even with Prime.

Out of the Blue also delayed to November 15th release date and 22nd estimated delivery date.

That Leigh interview was on YouTube briefly during lockdown and it’s a good one. It was shot at The Riverside

Finally ordered "One of Our Aircraft is Missing". I say "finally" even though it's only been out a little while because "the plan" was to pre-order it but I just...forgot.

Should get here to the States Monday. Excited. Can't wait to listen to the new commentary track.

Ironically I never got around to watching my (woefully overpriced) copy of the Olive Films release. It's still in the wrapper. Bought it earlier this year. I think I just have a bias against Olive Films, lol...They bother me.

Also today I ordered "Jungle Fever". It was only $20 on Amazon Global Store UK (which I guess is Amazon UK's "subsidiary"-thing here in the US) with free shipping. Granted, I have to wait until November 4th till it arrives, but it's cool.

I really love the work the BFI is doing. Not long ago I received the Woodfall box set. I am ashamed to say I had seen only 1 film in the box. Which is why I felt morally obligated to buy it; educating myself on this era of British cinema is necessary.

Watched "Look Back in Anger" for the first time a few nights ago. Good God, Burton murders the screen. He really was like a force of nature when he turned it on. Just stand out of the way and behold how he erupts...

Looking forward to watching "The Entertainer" next.

Is Naked not going to have a booklet then? Curious if so.

Hopefully it's just an omission from the site and will appear later. But if it was a choice between that and licensing the commentary, as much as I love the booklets, I think they made the right decision.

The Short & Curlies episode is on the Criterion Naked too, with a permanently itchy Alison Steadman that is unexplained and increasing in its ferocity as the programme goes on.

Cried laughing.

It's a review disc of the UHD of The Seventh Seal, which is due out at the start of November (not sure why it has Bergman Vol. 2 on the disc; the UHD is not part of that box set). The character whose face you can see is Death. (Apologies if you knew any of this already, just wanted to be clear! )

That production code on the test disc is interesting. This is the first announced, but isn't number 1...

I like the BFI's cover for 'Naked' more than the one Criterion used. Went on a bender of Mike Leigh films during the lockdown and really enjoyed all his stuff.
