Unless PSVR with its sub par blown up image can count.
When is your fat bottomed Sky TV due to arrive?

I noticed that both SVS and REL have raised their subwoofer prices. I came sooo close to buying one before the floor fell out from under me Memorial Day weekend; I am truly beginning to think that I am just not meant to own one. Every time that I get close something happens to place them beyond my reach.

It’s already arrived. I haven’t had time to set it up as my sister is poorly again.

The 15" Rel looks to be $200 off right now according to an email I just got.

We are all emotionally drained. It’s turned into a saga since she caught the Covid and having Sepsis SIX times seems to have had a lasting effect on her bladder. She is in pain most days and needing to pass water very frequently. On top of that, she has a non functioning kidney and her normally healthy kidney isn’t great at the moment. It’s a bit of a mess to be honest. She has been referred to a specialist in Newcastle (our neighbouring city). It’s tough but pray for her every night.

Cheers Ender, appreciated.

I am terribly sorry that your sister is not doing well. She has had such a hard time of it. I very much wish her the best.

I got that email, too, but I can't afford to take advantage of that offer right now. There remain too many uncertainties for me to make a big ticket purchase as things stand. My next pivotal appointment is coming up on Nov. 15th; I have to wait and see how that goes.

I picked up The Mortuary collection in 4K and my Leatherface 4K Steelbook arrived. It looks sweet but the included Blu-ray came in a sleeve rather than it’s own spindle. Really odd. Checked YouTube and it’s just the way they have done it.

Also bought the Blade Trilogy for Ł14. Just regular Blu-ray this time. The first two were favourites of mine back in the day, hopefully I still love them.

Oh and Scare Package on Blu.

All German discs.

I decided to redeem the 3-month Apple Music subscription to stream music and I went right to the Dune soundtrack in Atmos and it was phenomenal. The Sketchbook version is also available in Atmos. It's my first time listening to music in Atmos and I like what I have heard.

I love Apple music.

I can not believe they upgraded everything to lossless and many things to ATMOS.

The only problem I have is they are still missing some things I like and have some things incorrectly identified but mostly Apple music is all I need.

I have my music that I've had forever but it's all just packed away because I use apple music for all my music now.

Just wrapped up S4 of Last Kingdom on Netflix. I read that there won't be a final season 5, but that they will make a feature film to wrap it all up.

There will be a Season 5 (it's already finished filming) and a movie (which will be filmed next year).

There's no Planet B, cancel Netflix while there's still time.

Streaming is bad for the environment and somehow this article puts extra blame on Netflix for some reason. (I'm ok with that because I don't like NF.)

Streaming’s dirty secret: how viewing Netflix top 10 creates vast quantity of CO2
https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-r...uantity-of-co2

"Every activity in the chain required to stream video, from the use of huge datacentres and transmission over wifi and broadband to watching the content on a device, requires electricity – the majority of which is generated by emitting greenhouse gases."

"Netflix recently gave a rare insight into its most popular global hits by total hours viewed, a metric it said last week it intended to publish more frequently. It reported that fans clocked up more than 6bn hours watching the top 10 shows – which included Squid Game, Stranger Things, Money Heist and Bridgerton – in the first 28 days after each show was released.
This equates to about 1.13bn miles (1.8bn km) of travel in a car based on the Carbon Trust estimate – the approximate equivalent of the current distance between Earth and Saturn."

Just a regurgitated article to stir the pot with the Climate conference just around the corner.

We have to have some enjoyment in life or life won’t be worth living.

Like the article said, the tech is there to cut emissions so if things get really bad, the titans Luke Apple, Netflix and Google will put their resources towards that.

The alternative? I couldn’t bare it. I couldn’t live without films and streaming is the future so……..

The article is a bit funny as it has approx zero to do with Netflix in particular but as long as a few people get inspired to cancel it's all good.

Social media is a bigger deal, we have constant video feeds, pictures sent in their billions and billions of gifs, resource hungry tools, the list goes on.

But yeah, it’s The Guardian, so always good for a laugh.
