Black Widow + Shang Chi -- 2098. I never did get around to orderign BW so with 2 items that might make it easier to handle

If I use the fake Oregon address is used to look at shipping and sales tax state options for Black Widow, I get this. I thought for BW that only applied to Ca/OR/WA, did you have a Priority option then (or is Arizona not your shipping address?)

¥1,478 AmazonGlobal International Shipping (Standard)

What about $68 good like BW ended up (or actually closer $56 +tax/shipping) when it started at 90-100 -- knowing of course the final price will likely be identical to BW.

Might suggest adding the Gift Bag option. Adds a few dollars, but on EU packages to the US it does tend more often to come in better packaging or at worst the item in put in the bag which provides a little extra protection.

When did Amazon/jp stop shipping with boxes and bubble wrap. They used to be stellar at packaging even regular Movies much liek the Korean Stores.

I have an Arizona shipping address and I only see the "Standard" shipping option. When I use my friend's address in Brooklyn, NY to test, I only see the "Priority" option.

So it looks like western states currently only have Standard shipping as an option, while eastern states have Priority shipping. I'm going to keep checking every few days to see if the Priority option appears for my Arizona address.

Ordered the STEELBOOK 3D! Happy with the availability and the purchase...NOT the price...I guess this made me feel bittersweet.

I'll have to go back and play with some addresses again to see which states it applies to. Montana (another 0% Sales tax state) had Priority only for BW. I thought I checked ID and NV last time, but not sure on that

Shang-Chi does not have IMAX Scenes like Black Widow. The entire movie have an IMAX aspect ratio like Avengers Infinity War and Endgame.

But we get a 3D Blu-Ray, that is what count
We should have confirmation once the back cover is revealed. Black Widow, Captain Marvel, & Ant-Man and The Wasp all had a little blurb confirming the IMAX scenes.

I think there's a chance Shang-Chi will have the IMAX aspect ratio, as it wasn't shot with an IMAX camera, just the IMAX-certified Arri Alexa LF. Thus it could be exempt from whatever exclusivity clause IMAX held with Infinity War/Endgame.

I'm wondering if the Priority option will appear for all states on/after release day (when the pre-order period ends). That seems to be what happened with Black Widow. If that's the case, I might be better off to order this on release day when it's actually in stock and ready to ship.

Has it been confirmed this will only be released on 3D in Japan only or is it too early to say?

Given the price I really hope it's not another exclusive. Time will tell.

As a film, I'd say it's maybe $20 worth. As a 3D film, it's not a 3D showpiece but it is a film that needs to be seen in 3D as it really falls flat in 2D.

If I tell myself that it's not just about the film but about supporting the 3D and about preserving the film in the way it was meant to be seen, then I can agree that it's worth that cost.

I think they did a really good job with the conversion, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that the movie "falls flat" when watched without the conversion. I watched this a few times and the IMAX presentation was probably far more impressive than the 3D regular screen version.

It's too bad the IMAX expanded ratio probably won't be included in any presentation, including the 3D version apparently.

The 3D disc will almost certainly be exclusive to Japan. Black Widow has been out on physical media for nearly two months and there is no sign of a 3D disc in any other country besides Japan.

I would. There were several protracted 3D setpieces in the film that will leave viewers wondering "Why is this in the movie?" when seen in only 2D.

Since IMAX is a ship that has sailed for Shang-Chi and cannot really be replicated at home, would you consider the home viewing experience to be better in 3D vs 2D?

Certainly didn't feel that way to me... so YMMV

It's not so much the IMAX per se, which could never be replicated at home, as much as it is the expanded ratio, which arguably could be replicated somewhat, that I was referring to. I mean, it obviously looked better on a huge screen, that goes without saying.

And the "better" home viewing experience is strictly a matter of personal preference.

I removed the 4k specs since I don't care, but the BD has english subtitles. No subs were listed for 4k or 3D, but it's a good sign that the Blu-Ray has english and dubbed subtitles. It suggests there's a strong chance the 3D will be subbed as well as I assume the 4k will be the same as the Blu-Ray;

[3D Blu-ray] 2 layers / MVC / 16 x 9 (2.39: 1)

[3D Blu-ray]
1. English DTS-HD Master Audio (Lossless) 7.1ch
2. Japanese DTS-HD High Resolution Audio 7.1ch

[Blu-ray]
1. English DTS-HD Master Audio (Lossless) 7.1ch
2. Japanese DTS-HD High Resolution Audio 7.1ch
Subtitles: 1. Japanese subtitles 2. English subtitles 3. Japanese dubbing subtitles

<Bonus content> (Blu-ray only)
● Build a legacy
● Father and son
● NG scene collection
● Unreleased scene
-Door that opens quietly
-Shoot a bow
-Ask for forgiveness
-Before returning
-In battle
-In the car
-Underpass
-Heavy air
-Dragon postcard
-Relationship with my brother
-Detained person
● Audio commentary <with commentary from the director and screenwriter>

Also, this is only 7000 yen in some places so hopefully Amazon follows

EDIT: Actually, the subtitles might be for the package overall, here's the specs. The very last line is where it states English subtitles (#2);

Thanks Japan for giving the option to watch it again in 3D... but the price though

I watched it on 4DX and the experience was awful. The screen was way too dark, effects were delayed 10-15 seconds and the 3D was non-existent

Wow... Japan Disney proved to us that they will be supporting 3D it seems like. Like I said in the Black Widow forum.... it's a must purchase at this point no matter what cost. I hope everyone supports this and buys it and they will continue to churn out future MCU titles in 3D I bet. This is a good sign and what a wonderful news.
