I think I meant about the upconversation that it was night and day.

bluray should look same on any player if you got it set up right.

do you get the audyessy light up when you play a trueHD title? on the onkyo 605 receiver?

Yes, the light does come on for both TrueHD and DTSMA audio tracks on the Onkyo but it does that with the BD30 also. No big difference in sound between the two players up to this point at least.

I tried playing Pearl Harbor earlier today and I feel I did get a somewhat bigger wow factor on the PQ than the BD30. I don't think folks dying to get the Oppo would agree that Blu Ray should look the same no matter what player!

I have the BD30, which I paid $550 for (on sale) back in the day....the BD60 is still the victim of overinflated pricing here in Canada -- $450!....although it was recently on sale @ BestBuy for $400. The new Pioneer BDP120 has just been added to the BestBuy site at the competitive price of $399.99 (MSRP)....I'm waiting for reviews on it to see how it stacks up against the BD60.
