That review sounds promising, but I think I'll wait for some more A/V reports to come in. Once there's 100% confirmation the original audio track is included I'm definitely going to re-place my order (I had Lambs in my original preorder and decided to cancel upon hearing of that disc's numerous problems). This is one of the all-timers, as far as I'm concerned.

Is the original 2.0 audio a Dolby Surround track? Meaning, it would need to be decoded using Dolby Pro Logic or a similar decoder on one’s receiver?

I do remember that, when I saw it in '78, there had been a lot of talk about the Dolby soundtrack being innovative. I remember hearing elements of the "birth" sequence coming from behind me in the cinema and that was the first time I'd noticed that.

With Kino's Misery 4k transfer having MGM tampering at the start, it's hard to say. I'm pretty they left the Transamerica T since Shout's 2k IP transfer done for their Blu also had it.

Im concerned about those dvdbeaver screenshots. I had preordered this from diabolik for the 1080 disc as im still not on 4k yet. The one screenshot showing the Kino bluray compared to the Kino 4K is like night and day with the skin tones. The 1080 is severely red. She looks like a lobster. Is the 1080 disc from some other source? I'm under the impression thats its from the same 4k scan.

Also, is the 2 channel audio a downmix of the 5.1?

Thats the worst dvdbeaver review ive seen when it comes to comparison screenshots. They use various sources for each image comparing only to the 4k disc.

Do not pay any attention to DVDBeaver's screenshots. They don't take them correctly. This is mentioned in every thread when somebody mentions DVDBeaver.

Despite the fact that DVDBEAVER's screenshots are sketchball, this 4k nonetheless looks like it's gonna own (so long as Kino hasn't fakked up the 2.0 audio......)
