How about this; You purchase one A2-300 now, and when you absolutely fall in love with it (which you will), you can go ahead and charge another A2-300 to your credit card.

I would want the lower bass extension of the A2-300. My room is large, and it is plenty room filling by itself. If you get an itch, you can always add one later down the road.

I'm just looking to get the best bass experience for the $$$

I can get 2 of PA-120's for $330.00 (eBay coupons & what not) or for $20 more 1 A2-300. errrr this has become much more difficult then it was suppose to be!!!

multiple subs serve several purposes.... help fill in bass in larger rooms and
smooth out bass response and u get greater sound at a lower volume so u dont have to run the subs as high as you would a single sub.

im sure the A2-300 sounds great ,, but is that extra cost worth it... thats the question u should ask yourself - no matter what u get im sure you will be pleased
+1. I have a "smaller" room (11x13) but I have 2 PSW-10's, lesser subs than the ones discussed here maybe, but the DUAL SUB set-up Definitely Equals things out all considered. If your room is not Huge, I'd seriously consider this vice One A2-300, esp. for the money factor. You can get 2 of the PA-120's for almost the price of ONE A2-300. To me, it's a no-brainer. IF I Only had more $$$$, I'd prob. have went the 2 PA-120 route. But i'm quite happy with my gear. In 6 months or a year, I may consider upgrading. For now, I'm good.

currently not very big 11x15....However it does open up into another approximately 11x15 room (basement set up divided by steps).

You made a good argument and now I'm starting to lean towards the two (2) PA-120's.

Any additional input is greatly appreciated.

We had a member here go from a Dual PA120 setup to dual A3-300 subwoofers and he said the difference was night and day. If not eD, AV123 is supposed to be shipping their MFW15 subwoofers with the new, upgraded amps later this month. That may be something worth looking into.

yeah,,, I have been chatting with him via private message.... he still states that for the money,, you cant beat the performance of the dual PA-120's

he is also comparing 1100bux of subs to 460bux worth.... I would hope that there is a night day diference... but not everyone has that kind of money.... but he is definately excited about them though

I plan on buying a second sub soon, and I personally want the lower extension. I don't care if I was in a closet I want the lowest I can get for my money so long as quality isn't compromised. Lol. My current sub goes down to 25hz so the new sub has to be 20hz or lower for me to really feel good about getting another. Right now I'm considering Audio Acoustics, ED, and SVS as options. It all depends on how much money I want to spend when I'm ready to do it(that SVS really has my eye). The AV123 has caught my eye also. One thing that I'm still trying to determine is whether to go with a 12" or a 15" and if anyone has any opinions on which size is the best option I'm all ears.
