Invited to Sony E3 press conference - Blu-ray Forum

I was invited and accepted to Sony's E3 press conference on Tuesday. Did anyone else get invited? You cannot bring a guest so I was hoping to meet up with some people before the show.

are you involved at all in any retail/press? or are you a regular joe shmo like the rest of us?

Just a regular guy...I got an email from sony that said I was invited but space was limited and needed to reply immediately. I replied and about a week later I got another email saying I was accepted and had to fill out and notarize a release form and fax to SCEA...I did this on Tuesday and got a call from a Sony rep yesterday for a verbal confirmation that I would be there and I said yes.

I took the day off from work and cant wait

i kid i kid. its a shame i live so close to the civic center yet i wont be able to attend =( its not even open to the public (on the 3rd day for free/ small entrance fee)

Seriously? I just got back from a business trip in India...did a side trip to Goa (india's version of the bahamas) and it was pretty sweet...

Supposedly my pass is only good for the press conference and not the expo. If I can get into the expo I will swing buy...what company are you working the booth for?

Man I wish I could go now! I'll be there next year though! Maybe even flying to Tokyo for TGS...

Is TGS open to the public? I have some miles saved up...would be awesome go to Tokyo for that

It is on the weekend. The pressers are invite only and most of the good stuff happens behind closed doors.

Still definitely worth going!

i'm going if i can get back form arrowhead on time to clean up and make the site.
takes like 20 minutes to take the metro there though. no ****en way am i gonna look for parking there.

Damn i didnt think about that...how close is the metro link station to the Shrine Auditorium?

dude, the metro drops you off directly accross the street from the staples at that parking lot where u have to triple tandem park... ugh...

ummm why the shrine? i thought this was at the convention center hte whole time... tell me something i dont' know. i've been cooked up in wilderness for a few weeks now.

HAHA...the expo is at the convention center but the press event for Sony is at the Shrine. I checked Metrolink's website and to get their from Riverside I would have to leave at 4AM, take the train, a bus, an ostrich pulling a cart, another bus and still walk 4 miles....I think I will drive in my nice comfy Lexus and deal with the parking
