Brian Kelly to LSU! Wow this off season has been crazy. Still not done, OU is rumored to be going after Clemson DC Brent Venables. Who does Norte Dame now go get? Luke Fickle?

What a strange move by Kelly. Sure doesn't seem like an upgrade in programs. Then again, neither is USC an upgrade for Lincoln Riley as far as programs go.

How so? Hes literally the first good coach they've had since Lou Holtz in the 90's. Notre Dame won 1 bowl game in the 13 years between Kelly and Holtz. They've won 5 with him, and made it to 2 national title games or playoff berths. The only way they can upgrade is if they can manage to poach Urban Meyer, which is possible, but unlikely.

He’s been there a long time. Some fresh ideas would be good for the program. The timing isn’t good for Fickell, but Matt Campbell would be a good fit for Notre Dame.

Remember Movie, there are no Basket Weaving majors at Notre Dame! They definitely hold academics to a different standard over most other bigtime programs, and especially SEC ones! I think this will be a huge loss for the Irish as it was pretty terrible before Kelly took the program over.

Yeah I believe he wouldn't take the job until after the Playoffs if they make it in. I don't know if that would be a deal breaker for ND or not?

I know with the Early Signing Day is critical to get your coach and staff in place before then. I'm not really a big fan of the Early Signing Day just because of this reason.
